"Well, I'm kind of seeing someone then." she said, quietly, not knowing how to say that in the nicest way.

"Pedri?" he asked.

"Yeah." she answered, nodding.

He kissed his teeth. "I thought so but I still wanted to try my luck."

"Sorry." she said.

"Don't worry about it." he waved his hand dismissively. "I was suspecting you'd be with him."

"How?" she asked.

"Well, even just the nicknames." he said. "I don't call Gabi or Rosa guapa. And they certainly don't call me hermoso either."

"It's just as jokes." Lara said.

"Okay, sure." he said, unconvinced. "I don't blame you, though, I don't like men but I'd let him get it anyday."

Lara laughed at his comment. "Understandable, can't argue with that one."

The almost awkward atmosphere that Lorenzo's failed attempt at asking Lara out created was almost immediately replaced with a lighter one after his comment.

But she didn't have to deal with his comments alone for much longer as she pulled up to Rosa's apartment and called her, telling her she was already there.

Not even a minute later she was already walking out.

"Look how quick I was this time." she said, getting into the back.

"Do you want a trophy?" Lara asked and Lorenzo laughed.

"Yes, please." Rosa said. "Hold on, I'll call Gabi and tell her we'll be there soon. You have her address, right?"

"Yeah, you sent it." Lara said and Rosa nodded, calling Gabi.

They soon reached Gabi's place and then drove to the club. Lara parked not too far away and they met with Carlos near the entrance.

"You could have just joined us." Lara said, locking her car behind her. "I got the whole group here practically."

"Dude," Carlos said. "sick car."

Lara laughed, "thanks."

She always liked nice cars so it wasn't a surprise to anyone when she finally saved up enough to get one and did just that. She didn't hesitate to buy one, and then the other.

They walked into the club and Rosa immediately pulled Lara to the bar. She ordered herself a drink and Lara a lemon water.

"I've waited too long, spill." Rosa said, turning to Lara.

"Okay," Lara started. "So, Pedri came by earlier."

"What, like your place?" she asked, her eyebrows raised.

"No, the fucking monopoly store." Lara raised her arms. "Yes, obviously my place. He said sorry and all that, I forgave him in other words."

"Just like that?" Rosa asked.

"Not just like that, he did actually apologise." Lara said. "But he also basically asked me out for Valentine's day."

"What?" Rosa exclaimed.

"Yeah." Lara said. "He said to come over to his next Wednesday, which is Valentine's day. Seven thirty pm as well."

"So it's a date?" Rosa exclaimed excitedly.

"Yeah," Lara nodded. "There's no denying it at this point. I know I'm not over him."

"Oh, Lara." Rosa said, putting her hands on her best friend's arm. "I knew that long ago."

"Well, I had a hard time figuring out." Lara said. "But today before he left, he kissed my cheek and that feeling that I haven't felt for years, I felt it again. After two years, I finally did. And it was with him again. I have never ever felt it for anyone else."

"You know, I'm just glad you realised." Rosa said. "You two are just meant to be."

"Very well may be." Lara shrugged.

"Lets hope he mans up and makes a move on the date." Rosa said.

"I'll let you know." Lara said and Rosa smirked.

"You better." she said. "Every single detail, okay maybe not every. I don't know if I want to know about - "

"Okay, let's pause there." Lara laughed, raising her hand.

"Come on, let's go back." Rosa said and the two walked to the table. Rosa swung her arm around Lara's shoulder, kissing her cheek. "I'm happy for you, you two should've never broken up in the first place, to be honest."

"Blame Pedri for that." Lara joked and Rosa laughed.

"If you get back together then I'll forgive him."
