Alastor's POV

"I know, I know. This isn't your place, but I needed to talk to you." Well isn't this just lovely. Last place I want to be.

"Then get right to it, Your Heavenly Grace." I cross my arms and slouch in my chair.

"So you've married one of my sons." I roll my eyes.

"Did I need Daddy's approval? Last time I checked, you two don't keep in contact. Why don't you talk to him about it if you're so invested? He's your blood, isn't he?"

"Don't tell me what I should do. You're not in control here."

"I know you could crush me if you wanted to. So do it, old friend."

"I didn't bring you here to kill you, Alastor. I just want a little chit chat. Like we did at those parties when you came with Lilith."

~Flashback~

"Come on darling. I'm ready to go," Lilith says, grabbing my hand. She drags me out of the house and into the car. I hate going to these parties. There are rumors we are dating and Lilith isn't helping demolish those rumors. She always gives me stupid forehead kisses and holds my hand a lot. I can't do anything about it. She owns my soul.

"Why do I have to keep going to these frivolous parties?" I ask as we step out of the car.

"Come on. You look dashing." Lilith fixes my new suit. It is a soft blue with a white dress shirt to match Lilith's dress. I'm always matching with Lilith. "Besides, everyone here loves you."

"That's the problem."

"It's not that bad. It's only a couple hours. We'll leave early if you behave." She pats my head and grabs my hand. I roll my eyes. We walk in the large, white castle. Michael greets us before we walk into the ballroom.

"Now I have to talk to someone real quick. Don't wander off too far." She walks away.

"Splendid," I mumble to myself. My gold and white ears lay flat on my head. This happens every time.

"Wonderful seeing you here," God says, walking up to me. Right on cue.

"Likewise." I narrow my eyes slightly at Him.

"Thought you hated these parties?" God smiles at me.

"You know Lilith."

"Yeah." God chuckles. "Left you alone again?"

"You know it." He chuckles again.

"Dance with me." God holds out his hand.

"I would be delighted to." I take it. We dance in silence for a moment. God pulls me close to Him. Our interactions are always the same.

"How's Heaven?" He smiles at me, already knowing my answer. But He still asks me every time.

"You ask this every time. Haha. You know this isn't my kind of place." God twirls me and leans me back.

"Sometimes people get used to things. Used to this place yet? You've been up here for only... 3 years now?" He brings me back up and continues dancing.

"I'll never get used to a place so bright and filled with innocent joyful souls." God twirls me again, but this time he pulls me in. My back against the Lord's body. This is different. My head only reaches up to His chest and my ears flatten.

"If you could kill any angel here, who would it be?" God whispers into my ear.

"Why do you want to know?"
