"So are you finished in here or what?" Ra'Mariah questioned, spinning in the chair next me staring at the ceiling. We've been in the studio for a couple of hours and she was ready to go. Technically she wasn't supposed to come, but insisted on coming when I said I was getting food after.
I looked up from my notebook at her, sucking my teeth. "Girl don't rush me, you're only here for some food. You could've stayed your greedy ass at home."
Ra'Mariah gasped, placing a hand on her chest as if she was shocked. "I did not! I came to keep you company, the food was just a slight bonus."
I hummed in response while closing my notebook. I've been in here trying to write a new song, but so far I've only written one verse that I don't know if I'll use. My label has been breathing down my neck for a new song and I've got nothing. I usually come in the studio to write a couple of songs, but with my extra guest, nothing was getting done.
I turned to face her after putting my book in my bag. "Well now I don't feel like going anywhere else, so we can DoorDash something and chill here if that's cool?"
She smiles, putting her phone down. "That's perfectly fine, you know I never pass up the opportunity to get some food."
Rolling my eyes, I pick up my phone and open DoorDash. "Fat ass, I swear." I muttered jokingly.
After arguing on what we wanted to eat for about fifteen minutes, we finally decide on some Wing Stop. Ra'Mariah got damn near the whole menu, while I stuck with my 10 piece boneless combo. I paid for both our meals and we sat in comfortable silence on our phones while I'm Baby by Ambré played lowly in the background.
I turned to my left, glancing at Ra'Mariah. "Let's go live while we wait, a bitch is bored."
She agreed while I propped my phone up on a nearby table and started the live. A lot of people joined pretty quickly.
I paused the music and sat back in my chair. "Hey y'all!"
