"Hendrix, hi. Wait for me will you?" Barty asked, rushing up behind the girl, Evan close on his tail.

Thea paused in her tracks, her eyes widening in surprise. "What do the both of you want?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

"We want," Evan began, a sly smile playing on his lips, "for you."

Barty winked mischievously, "to join us at the Slytherin table."

Evan wrapped an arm around Thea's shoulder, pulling her closer which she immediately shoved off.

"I'm not a Slytherin." she declared, dismissing the fact that Barty Crouch Jr. wasn't one either. Her words were driven by the animosity between them, a gulf that had prevented any semblance of friendship from forming.

"In case you haven't noticed, you daft woman, neither am I." Barty retorted, his voice laced with a hint of annoyance. He hummed mockingly and averted his gaze, his expression a mixture of anger and disdain.

"Well, I knew that, dipshit. We're in the same bloody house." she replied, her eyes darting between Barty and the other boy. Barty's pride was momentarily wounded by the insult, but he quickly suppressed his reaction.

"We've always wanted you to sit with us, you've just always been very obsessed with the Gryffindors." Evan shrugged, raising his eyebrows at the girl.

Thea's eyes narrowed at Evan's words. "Well you've always been obsessed with a certain Ravenclaw." she retorted, her voice laced with a hint of amusement. With that, she turned and began to walk away once more.

Undeterred, Barty called out to her, "Just sit with us Hendrix."

Thea paused in her steps and turned to face the two boys. "We're not friends." she stated firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument.

However, Evan was not one to give up easily. With a mischievous grin, he wrapped his arm around Thea's shoulders. "We could be Hendrix." he said, his voice teasing.

"What makes you think we could be friends?" Thea demanded, her gaze piercing the boy who had dared to drape his arm around her. Disgust churned within her at the mere thought of his touch, amplifying her discomfort. With a swift motion, she dislodged his arm and retreated, creating a physical barrier between them.

"I mean, considering that you kissed me at that Christmas party, I'd say we're pretty chummy." Barty retorted with a careless shrug. Thea's eyes narrowed in exasperation, and Evan's face contorted in surprise, his eyes darting between them with a mixture of hurt and confusion.

"I did not kiss you. You kissed me." Thea clarified, her voice unwavering. The audacity of these boys was driving her to the brink of a migraine.

"You kissed who?" a voice inquired from behind her, its tone laced with a hint of amusement. Thea turned to find Pandora and her fiancé, Regulus, approaching them.
