At first, Krishna proposed that if Hastinapura agreed to give the Pandavas only five villages, namely, Indraprastha, Svarnaprastha , Panduprastha, Vyaghraprastha, and Tilaprastha  then they would be satisfied and would make no more demands.
But Duryodhana vehemently refused, commenting that he would not part with land even as much as the point of a needle.

When the city was built, there came, O king, numerous Brahmanas well-acquainted with all the Vedas and conversant with every language, wishing to dwell there.

And there came also unto that town numerous merchants from every direction, in the hope of earning wealth.
There also came numerous persons well-skilled in all the arts, wishing to take up their abode there.
And around the city were laid out many delightful gardens adorned with numerous trees bearing both fruits and flowers.

There were Amras (mango trees) and Amaratakas, and Kadamvas and Asokas, and Champakas; and Punnagas and Nagas and Lakuchas and Panasas; and Salas and Talas (palm trees) and Tamalas and Vakulas, and Ketakas with their fragrant loads; beautiful and blossoming and grand Amalakas with branches bent down with the weight of fruits and Lodhras and blossoming Ankolas; and Jamvus (blackberry trees) and Patalas and Kunjakas and Atimuktas; and Karaviras and Parijatas and numerous other kinds of trees always adorned with flowers and fruits and alive with feathery creatures of various species.

And those verdant groves always resounded with the notes of maddened peacocks and Kokilas (blackbirds).

And there were various pleasure-houses, bright as mirrors, and numerous bowers of creepers, and charming and artificial hillocks, and many lakes full to the brim of crystal water, and delightful tanks fragrant with lotuses and lilies and adorned with swans and ducks and chakravakas (brahminy ducks).

And there were many delicious pools overgrown with fine aquatic plants.

And there were also diverse ponds of great beauty and large dimension.

And, O king, the joy of the Pandavas increased from day to day, in consequence of their residence in that large kingdom that was peopled with pious men.

------------

Not all are happy.

Many people in hastinapur has multiple emotions. Some were sad , some were happy or some were jealous. Although no one pointed out any thing , people are sensitive to emotions like this.

Many families and rich merchants migrate from hastinapur to Indraprastha, although the suffer was not less but benefits cannot be ignored.

In the lead and guide of Yudhishthira, Indraprastha being prosperous and diversify day by day.

Pandavas get their respective titles with official work. Yudhishthira become the king. Bhim become the crown prince.

Arjuna become the warrior protecting and leading the army in Indraprastha.

Nakul based on his high intellectual can assist each of his brother in their work but mainly aid Yudhishthira on revenue matters.

Sahadeva , on the other hand , administered justice impartially.

As for the two ladies, draupadi took over power of the palace financial authority and days prove it that her decision was absolutely right.
On the contrary, Shreya took over the responsibility of handling the maids , hiring them and the future events in the palace.

At first , seeing that draupadi took the responsibility of finance, the maids are relatively happy. They often hear the servants under draupadi complain that she is really strict and wont accept any kind of mistakes.

But they all are defeated mercilessly, not only shreya was more cruel than draupadi but also gave more laborious punishment. They sometime have to plead draupadi to protect them and talk to the princess.

Draupadi also didn't accept that shreya would be so merciless when come to this maids and servants. The total servants joined at first was somewhere at 150 or above but after the strict rules and training by Shreya , only 40 of them are remained.

27 women and 13 males.

Draupadi frowned after seeing the number and try to persuade her but it's all are in avail.
According to shreya , quality matters , quantity not.

Draupadi found her right , the servants chosen at the end of the training not only talented but exceptionally intelligent. They can 4 works together that even 4 workers would take a hour or so.

Pandavas also didn't interfere in the inner palace matters. They are already busy with capital and management of the new city and finding time to rest or nap was also scarce.

Many people who migrated are in need of resources, the merchants have to lower their rates at first but with the good state of revenue their service taxes the situation slowly improving.

The decision of less number of maids also are very good for draupadi. With the highly raised charges outside the palace, they cannot detect it because of the migrants.

So , the less number of maids means less weight on the budget.

The public court and assembly also opened after 3 months of settlement.

The taxes by the pandavas are not high and easily accepted by the public but some did try to negotiate. As for those kind if people, Yudhishthira decides to listen both side parties and decide to not detect the taxes.

Liberality can be sometimes weakness also.

Yudhishthira knows this. He make special arrangements for those who cannot pay the taxes.

Arjuna was also very busy with the arrangement and management of the army.
Recruites are joining day after day.

Even when the opening ceremony of the public court, Arjuna was not available for more than 4 or 6 hours.
Everyone knows this , so nobody argues with him.

Bhim as the crown prince has the most work after Yudhishthira. He was also very tried but fortunately they all are already trained about this matters in gurukul and hastinapur palace.

So, in just a year , Indraprastha developed itself into a high profile and power raising city.

Many kings got the news and are reluctantly show their enthusiasm about the city. Many were also afraid that this raising city would become a major problem in the future events of Aryavarata.
Many letters and invitations are sent to Indraprastha including hastinapur.
