Darkness. Overall it was completely dark as I arose from the soft flowers. My vision was blurry and I felt a sharp pain coursing through my head. What happened? The darkness slowly dimmed with the bright light that came as I stared up. The source of this light was far higher up and shined down upon the yellow flowers that broke my fall. And the multiple branches on which my bag hung. It was to far up and I couldn't reach it no matter how much I would try. My eyes wandered around as I spotted some branches laying on the ground next to me. I felt a sharp pain in my leg and saw some blood on the petals and felt a sharp sting once I stood up. A bandaid would probably not help out, but I had to do something! I rummaged in my pockets and found a band aid, putting it over my bleeding knee and picking up a branch for some sort of defense.
The steps echoed inside the empty and dark cave as the light source from where I fell from was getting dimmer by the second. Cold and mossy walls made it easier to walk around and to help me to not feel so much pain by leaning against it. The air felt cold and yet, not suffocating. Shouldn't a cave have worse air circulations? Yet breathing is easy and not troubling. My fingers felt a doorway and I moved through it, only to see an illuminated spot of grass shining in the dark. It was quiet...to quiet. I winced as I moved towards the light, my leg giving me a painful sensation whenever I stepped on the ground. If only I had not tripped while running through the forest...At least no one will follow me. That was my thought process, but than I looked to my left and saw a floating and transcending person.
They had short brown hair and wore a sweater that was green with one big yellow stripe. The shorts and pattern on their sweater almost looks identical to mine, only that I wore a blue one with two light purple stripes. Their eyes however were completely red. The iris was like a fire in all of the possible red shades and didn't waver a second. My attention however got to the light as something rumbled under the grass. A yellow flower popped out and had a smile on a face that shouldn't be there. Maybe I hit my head as well? Because what next happened made me fall back to the ground in fear.
„Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower."
It's head moved as if it was tilting a head. Those dark eyes seemed to pierce directly through my soul which made it even harder to not shake in fear.„Hmm...you must be new to the underground, aren't cha? GOLLY, you must be so confused."
The flower tilted it's petal head back up and had a friendly smile. Is this...Flowey trustworthy? Just how messed up did my head get from the fall?
„Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do."
I glanced to the Ghosty person that only rolled their eyes and seemed to shake their head. Was...this flower bad?
„Ready? Here we go!"
I don't know...but even before I could think to the end, everything got black while I felt something weird. As if my soul left my body. Everything was pitch black around me and the light from before was gone. All I could see was black and white. As if all colors went to...my...soul...?I stared down at a heart shaped and red thing over my chest that was glowing and seemingly telling me that everything is fine. It felt like some sort of reassurance. That not everything was over and that I will be fine. The Ghost seemed to stare just like Flowey with a shocked expression. One more than the other.
„Well buttercup me, because that is something I didn't wanted to see again."
The Ghost suddenly spoke up which made me flinch. But I couldn't even turn to the them as Flowey started to talk again.
„See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being!"
My attention went from its words away to stare up at the Ghost person. Just who is that that would stare at my soul with such shock and...guilt? It seems they didn't mind me staring or didn't notice I stared at them and not the empty void that was to see.Out of nowhere I heard some noise from Flowey as white petal like things circulated around it as it's eyes stared at my soul with a more...creepy look. Like this flower wanted it for every price there is. The Ghost suddenly got closer to me and stared at my soul.
„I would dodge that if I were you."
Dodge? Like...crouching? My eyes focused on the petals as they seemed to start to move.
„Down here, LOVE is shared through...friendliness pellets. Are you ready? Move around, get as many as you can!"
They started to shoot into my direction so I ran to the side and dodged them like the Ghost told me to. The facial expression of Flowey changed to for a mere second as it spoke a little annoyed.
