OPENING NIGHT WAS fucking epic, it felt like every student at UCONN was inside Gampel Pavilion supporting their favorite basketball teams. 
 Kameron led her squad in cheering for the men and women's basketball team as each player was introduced one by one by an announcer, everyone was hyped for their favorite players as everyone was up on their feet the whole time 
 when it was Paige's turn to get introduced, no one could deny the absolute charm and confidence that radiated off of the 6 ft tall blonde basketball player's demeanor 
 Paige Bueckers was born to play basketball and she was born to be in front of the camera, her composure never wavered as fans cheered for her name— the super senior was a superstar indeed and Kameron could tell that she was more than excited for her comeback and show the world who exactly Paige Bueckers was, Paige was ready to prove her doubters wrong and show the whole world that no injury can stop her from making history in women's basketball 
 Kameron watched the blonde through the jumbotron, her eyes glued to the screen the whole time Paige was on it— she truly was so beautiful and enigmatic and seeing her in her basketball jersey made Kameron almost weak in the knees at how good Paige looked 
 the cheer captain felt as if she was getting hypnotized as she watched Paige glow with confidence.
 "Your girl looks good" Jackson comments bumping his hips with the girl, Kameron chuckles shaking her head at the comment but didn't say anything countering it making Jackson raise his brows "Oh? not denying it anymore?" 
 "I ain't admitting anything either" the cheerleader replies, rubbing her pompoms together as they cheered for the next player who came up on stage. 
 "I gotta say you are glowing lately, cap. what? you finally got laid after however many months?" Jackson wiggled his brows suggestively as Kameron just pushed the boy away laughing "get the fuck outta here" 
 "Can't believe this is our last opening night" the male cheerleader says 
 Kameron sighed, her lips turning to a pout as she looks at her friend "let's not think about that right now, yeah?" 
 "no matter what happens tomorrow, I just wanna say I'm really proud of you, Kam. I'm really proud of us for what we've achieved the last four years" Jackson tells his cheer captain putting an arm over her shoulder pulling her close
 Kameron puts her arm around the boy's waist hugging him close "I'm very proud of us too, Jack. Cheer would not have been the same without you" 
 "okay now stop before I sob" the boy chuckles waving her off as he fanned his eyes, Kameron throws her head back as she laughed "you started it dumbass" 
 Both teams were busy taking pictures with each other and with fans after the event concluded— the cheer team stayed behind to celebrate the successful opening night of the basketball players and to wait for their friends as well 
 Kameron stayed by her squad as she observed her friends take pictures with each and everyone, she truly was so proud of them for achieving so much, UCONN basketball has definitely became more popular and stronger this past few years and no one can't deny that part of the reason were the seniors of the team
