AUTHOR'S POV
THE HOSPITAL VISIT
It was a beautiful sunny day, and Ji-won decided to go for a jog in the park near her apartment. As she ran along the winding paths, enjoying the crisp morning air, her thoughts were filled with happy memories of her time with Soo-hyun. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the small rock lying in her path until it was too late.
With a yelp, Ji-won stumbled, her foot catching on the rock. She tried to regain her balance, but it was no use. She fell hard onto the pavement, scraping her knee and bruising her elbow in the process.
Wincing in pain, Ji-won lay on the ground for a moment, trying to catch her breath. She gingerly touched her injured knee, hissing as pain shot through her. It was clear she wouldn't be able to get up on her own.
Just then, she heard footsteps approaching, and a concerned voice called out her name. Looking up, she saw Soo-hyun jogging towards her, a look of worry etched on his face.
"Ji-won, are you okay?" he asked, kneeling beside her and gently helping her to sit up.
Ji-won nodded, trying to force a smile despite the pain. "I'm fine, just a little clumsy, that's all."
Soo-hyun's eyes softened as he examined her injuries. "Let me take a look," he said, reaching into his pocket for a tissue to clean her scraped knee.
Ji-won winced as he dabbed at the wound, but she appreciated his gentle touch. "Thanks, Soo-hyun. I guess I'm not as graceful as I thought."
Soo-hyun chuckled softly, his fingers lingering on her skin. "You're still beautiful, even with a scraped knee."
Ji-won felt her cheeks flush at his words, grateful for the distraction from the pain. "Flatterer," she teased, but her heart fluttered at the sincerity in his gaze.
With Soo-hyun's help, Ji-won managed to stand up, albeit with a slight limp. He offered to walk her home, but Ji-won insisted that she was fine and that he shouldn't worry about her.
As she made her way back to her apartment, Ji-won couldn't shake the warm feeling that lingered from Soo-hyun's care and concern. It was moments like these that reminded her of the depth of their connection and the strength of his feelings for her.
Later that evening, as Ji-won nursed her scraped knee at home, she received a text from Soo-hyun. It simply read: "I hope you're feeling better. Let me know if you need anything. -Soo-hyun"
Touched by his thoughtfulness, Ji-won smiled and typed out a reply, thanking him for his help earlier and assuring him that she was doing fine.
As she settled onto the couch with a mug of tea and a book, Ji-won couldn't help but feel grateful for Soo-hyun's presence in her life. He had shown her a softer, more caring side of himself, and she couldn't wait to see where their journey together would take them.
A few days passed, and Ji-won's knee slowly began to heal, but she still felt a twinge of pain whenever she moved too quickly. Despite her efforts to brush it off, Soo-hyun couldn't shake the worry he felt for her.
One evening, as Ji-won was preparing dinner in her apartment, there was a knock on her door. Surprised, she glanced through the peephole and saw Soo-hyun standing there, a concerned expression on his face.
Opening the door, Ji-won greeted him with a smile. "Soo-hyun, what are you doing here?"
Soo-hyun stepped inside, holding a bag in his hand. "I heard you're still having trouble with your knee, so I thought I'd come over and check on you."
