Hours had passed, but it felt like an eternity. Yoongi's pacing had ceased, replaced by a silent vigil as he sat with the others in the waiting room. The door to the operating room remained shut, and every minute that ticked by only heightened their anxiety.

Finally, the door swung open, and a surgeon in scrubs stepped out. Yoongi's heart leaped into his throat as he sprang to his feet, followed by the others.

"How is he?" Yoongi's voice was barely more than a whisper, his eyes wide with fear.

The surgeon pulled down his mask, revealing a weary but kind expression. "He's stable for now. The surgery was successful, but he's not out of the woods yet. The next 24 hours are critical."

Yoongi felt a rush of relief mingled with continued fear. "Can we see him?"

"Only one at a time, and just for a few minutes. He's in the ICU, heavily sedated. He needs rest more than anything."

Yoongi looked at the group, his eyes pleading. "I need to see him. Please."

Namjoon nodded, giving him a reassuring pat on the back. "Go, Yoongi. We'll be right here."

Yoongi followed the surgeon down the corridor, his heart pounding. When they reached the ICU, Yoongi was led to a small, sterile room where Hoseok lay. Tubes and machines surrounded him, and his face was pale against the white sheets.

Yoongi approached the bed, his hands trembling. "Hoseok," he whispered, taking Hoseok's hand in his. "It's me, Yoongi. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."

Tears streamed down Yoongi's face as he watched the rise and fall of Hoseok's chest. "I'm so sorry, Hoba. This is all my fault. I should have protected you. But I promise you, I'm going to make this right. You're going to get better, and we're going to be happy together."

After a few minutes, a nurse gently told Yoongi his time was up. Reluctantly, he released Hoseok's hand and returned to the waiting room, where the others looked at him expectantly.

"He's stable," Yoongi said, his voice hoarse. "But he's still in critical condition."

Jin placed a comforting arm around Yoongi's shoulders. "He'll make it, Yoongi. Hoseok is strong. He has to make it."

As they sat back down, Yoongi's phone buzzed in his pocket. He glanced at the screen and saw a message from an unknown number. Frowning, he opened it.

"Meet me at the park near the hospital. Now."

Yoongi's heart skipped a beat. He showed the message to Namjoon, who frowned. "Who could this be?"

"I don't know," Yoongi replied. "But I have to find out."

"Be careful," Namjoon warned. "We'll come with you."

"No," Yoongi said firmly. "I need to do this alone. Stay here in case Hoseok wakes up."

Reluctantly, the others agreed, and Yoongi left the hospital, his mind racing. When he reached the park, he looked around, searching for any sign of the mysterious messenger.

"Yoongi," a voice called from the shadows.

Yoongi turned and saw a figure step forward. His eyes widened in shock. "Mr. Jung?"

It was Hoseok's uncle, a man Yoongi had only met briefly years ago. "What are you doing here?"

"I heard what happened to Hoseok," Mr. Jung said, his expression grim. "I came as soon as I could. We need to talk."

Yoongi felt a surge of hope and suspicion. "Talk about what?"

"Hoseok's father... he had a lot of enemies, Yoongi. People who didn't agree with how he was running the family business after Hoseok's mother died. There are things you don't know, things that could change everything."

Yoongi's mind raced. "What do you mean?"

Mr. Jung sighed, looking pained. "Hoseok's father was involved in some dangerous activities, and when he died, he left a mess behind. There are people who might come after Hoseok, thinking he knows something or has something they want."

"What?!" Yoongi's heart pounded with a mix of fear and anger. "How could you let this happen? Hoseok doesn't know anything about his father's business!"

"I know," Mr. Jung replied. "That's why I'm here. We need to protect Hoseok, and we need to do it quickly. I've already arranged for a safe house where he can recover once he's stable."

Yoongi felt a surge of hope and determination. "Thank you. We need to get him out of here as soon as possible."

"There's more," Mr. Jung said, his expression darkening. "Before he died, Hoseok's father left a document... a will of sorts. It outlines everything, including his connection to some very dangerous people. If those people find out Hoseok is alive and in the hospital, they'll come after him."

Yoongi's blood ran cold. "We need to get him out now."

"I'll handle the arrangements," Mr. Jung said. "But we have to be careful. No one can know where we're taking him."

Yoongi nodded, feeling a renewed sense of urgency. "I'll go back to the hospital and make sure everything is ready."

Mr. Jung placed a hand on Yoongi's shoulder. "You're doing the right thing, Yoongi. Hoseok needs you now more than ever."

As Yoongi returned to the hospital, he felt a surge of determination. He would do whatever it took to protect Hoseok and ensure his safety. When he rejoined his friends in the waiting room, he quickly explained the situation.

"We need to get Hoseok out of here," Yoongi said, his voice steady. "Mr. Jung is arranging a safe house, but we have to move fast. There are people who might come after him."

The group exchanged worried glances but quickly nodded in agreement. They had to protect Hoseok at all costs.

Just then, the surgeon reappeared. "Hoseok is awake. You can see him now."

Yoongi rushed to Hoseok's side, his heart pounding. He found Hoseok lying in the hospital bed, looking pale and weak but conscious.

"Hoba," Yoongi whispered, taking Hoseok's hand. "We need to get you out of here. It's not safe."

Hoseok's eyes widened with fear and confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I'll explain everything," Yoongi said urgently. "But we have to move now."

With the help of the others, they carefully moved Hoseok, keeping a low profile as they left the hospital. Mr. Jung had arranged for a car, and they quickly bundled Hoseok inside, driving off into the night.

As they sped towards the safe house, Yoongi couldn't shake the feeling of dread. They had escaped for now, but the danger was far from over. He held Hoseok's hand tightly, silently vowing to protect him no matter what it took.

The safe house was a remote cabin hidden in the woods, far from prying eyes. As they settled in, Yoongi stayed by Hoseok's side, watching over him as he slept. He knew that their journey was only just beginning and that they would need all their strength to face the challenges ahead.

But for now, they were together, and that was enough. Yoongi pressed a gentle kiss to Hoseok's forehead, whispering a promise that he would never let anything harm him again. And as the first light of dawn broke through the trees, Yoongi felt a glimmer of hope for the future, knowing that they would face it together, no matter what.
