There were new people coming. Apparently, Amelia wasn't sure who, someone convinced them to join the order. As it happened to be Aurors, or so Amelia has figured, it must have been Arthur or maybe Dumbledore and Mad Eye. She wasn't terribly interested in them at first, seeing as Molly kept them far away from the Order .
But she heard the name Tonks being spoken. A name Amelia heard before. Her cousin Andromeda married someone named Tonks. It seemed their daughter has joined their little strange group of heroes. It truly was in Amelia's opinion.
Two book worms, a group of redheads with more heart than sense, in some manners. A man that escaped Azkaban, a werewolf... truly, what do they not have? Hell, they even have Harry who is so special, it can top several cakes at ones.
"Seems you're excited," Hermione said, walking into the drawing room. The room where the family tapestry is. Amelia was looking at Andromeda and Nymphadora. A beautiful name.
"Of course!" said Amelia as she put an arm around Hermione's shoulder. "I am getting to know my family more and more."
Amelia's finger pointed to three figures. One had blond hair, Ted Tonks, and the two females held brown hair with a look so similar to the rest of her family. The last part of her family she truly wished to know. Her other cousins... They were not the people she wish to waste her time on.
"There, see? Nymphadora is my cousin... I heard she is an energetic and kind person," Amelia continued. "And shares my ability, changing at will, I mean. I'm happy to have such people that I can call family, Hermione. To know where I came from, you know..."
"I can imagine. Just remember; I am always with you too," Hermione added, giving a kiss on the cheek as she stood on her toes. "I am happy you're finding out who you are. Well, where you came from would be more accurate."
"Yeah, and you are the most important part of it all." Her finger traced over the branches that made up the family tree. It came to a stop when it was on her name and her face. Black hair, a face with the same regal and haughty face as her father. But her eyes like her mother. "If we work out as couple, which I believe we will, you'll be appearing here, next to me."
"Really? Barely a year my girlfriend and now you're planning the wedding?" Hermione giggled, her cheeks flushed pink. "Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. With you being under my spell and all."
"Ha!" Amelia laughed, bringing Hermione in her embrace. "I sure am, love. But don't you worry, I'll bring you under my spell soon enough."
"Don't worry," Hermione smiled, eyes not looking away from Amelia's. "You already have. As much as I love your cheeky compliments, we should get downstairs. They'll be arriving at any moment."
"Ugh... and it will only be a moment..."
"Yes, well, they've busy lives and, well, we're not allowed to be there most of the time," said Hermione. "I'm of the opinion that we should know, but... they have their reasons, I am sure. And I trust them."
"Right, well, anyway, come, my cousin awaits!"
Hermione chuckled with amusement as Amelia dragged her down the stairs. The house was still in shambles. Wallpapers were still not fully repaired, and a lot, if not all, needed actual new wallpaper. Luckily, the rooms were able to be repaired by the use of magic.
Her father's room being the one where Amelia spent most of her time along with Hermione. It wasn't hard but the infestations in some of the rooms... That certainly made things difficult. Especially considering it could be anything from a Boggart to a Doxy.
Yet even those infestations were being hunted. A terror they were not prepared for. Amelia was a first hand witness, being shocked to the core at what she saw. The purple small Doxies, were fleeing in terror at having a radiant and powerful entity chasing them.
