MEDIA DAY WAS every student-athlete's favorite day or at least it is over at UCONN because they really take it seriously. Each media team of every sports team at University of Connecticut pride themselves in marketing their athletes to the world and making sure that people know to always look out for them. Especially now that basketball season was officially about to begin and the cheer squad was nearing their UCA competition— media teams were hyping them up as much as they can

each team was given their individual dates and schedule for their media day shoot

This morning was the women's basketball team's turn and later on in the afternoon would be the cheer team's so as the basketball girls were rounding up their shoot, Kameron and her team was finishing getting glammed by their stylists and make up artists— the team was given new set of pompoms for the photoshoot which they all cheered at upon seeing

the beautiful shades of navy blue and metallic silver reflecting in the cheerleader's hands

Kameron was the last one to get glammed up because she insisted on allowing her teammates to go first as she also helped the others get ready as well before she started readying herself

some of the husky cheerleaders were instructed to go on and head to the main gym where the staffs had set up the back drops and everything for the shoot once done getting pampered as to not waste anymore time seeing as the basketball team were now just taking last minute group photos with each other.

"Feel like i'm gonna barf" Kameron mutters as Heidi, their stylist was finishing curling her ponytailed hair "What? why? you love media day"

"I do, I just feel anxious for some reason I don't know— maybe because this is my first media day as captain and a senior? plus regionals are nearing as well and I'm definitely anxious about that" The senior cheerleader rambles looking at Heidi through the mirror

the stylist clips on the blue and white ribbon on Kameron's ponytail before giving an assuring pat on her shoulders "You'll be just fine, Kameron. I've seen you do this for the past four years and each year you just get better and better— and like you said, this is your senior year so enjoy it! before it all comes to an end" Heidi smiles at the young girl who gives her a nod thanking her "Thanks Heidi, you're the best stylist ever"

"Don't I know it, sweetheart" she smiles "Now get your gorgeous cheerleading ass out there and wow everyone" Heidi says doing some final touches on the senior who pulled on her letterman jacket with her last name on the back.

Kameron gives herself a final glance in the mirror before huffing turning to leave the room "Thank you everyone! wish me luck" she smiles at the staffs who helped her and her entire team

It was about a two minute walk from where the team got glammed up to where the entire shoot was happening— Kameron truly didn't know was she was feeling so antsy about the whole thing, she has done media day multiple times before and the girl was fine

she blamed it all on the upcoming competition and how this would be her last chance to prove to the world what she's got before she has to turn in her uniform and her title as a husky

yeah that's it— totally has nothing to do with a certain player from the basketball team who has been haunting her mind day and night.
