Today is the day that I come out as Jude's girlfriend. I don't know why I'm so nervous. It's not like we're ACTUALLY dating. But, his fans are kind of crazy.. and I know he LOVES them with a passion. We're supposed to go out for some coffee, Jude's game doesn't start until 7:00 PM and it's 10:00 right now.
Luckily, his mom doesn't have to drive him because I got my license earlier this morning. It's kind of weird how he hasn't gotten himself one...I mean, he's 20 years old. Whatever the case, I don't really care.
"Eleanor? Are you ready?" Jude knocked on my door. "I'll be out in just a second!" I'd reach back to zip up the rest of my dress. The only problem was, it got stuck. For fucks sake... seriously? I reached back with the other hand and tried to force it up. But to no avail.
"Hey, uhm... Jude?" I called out. "What?" He answered, still on the other side of the door. "Can you come in for a sec?" I cleared my throat. He opened the door, stopping in his tracks. His eyes traveled all the way up to my face and all the way down to my legs. "Can you help me zip up my dress? I think it's stuck." I turned around.
"Don't you think a dress is a little... much?" He moved my hair to the side. His fingers grazed the back of my neck. "I need to look good for today." I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. "You look good no matter what." He managed to zip up the rest of the dress. My ears started to heat up. "Are you seriously flirting with me right now?" I looked over my shoulder.
He smirked. "I'm just practicing for the cameras." He'd gaze into my eyes. "The contract said only do what's necessary." I stared back at him. "This is necessary. My love language is physical touch, everybody knows that." His hand rested on my arm. "How could they not? You're constantly kissing your teammates." I looked away, silently laughing to myself.
"That's.. different." He tried to defend his case. "Don't worry. I won't get in the way of you and your boyfriends." I grabbed my purse and left the room. Jude trailed behind me. We made our way downstairs and Denise greeted us in the kitchen. "Morning you two." She sipped a cup of her tea.
"Morning, mum." He hugged her. "Where are the keys?" I looked on the counter. "Here." Denise pulled them out of her pocket. Before I could take them she pulled away. "I want you to promise not to crash. That car was gifted to me by President Florentino." She stared at me straight in the eyes.
"Of course, you have nothing to worry about. Your car is in safe hands." I reassured her, taking the keys. "So you're worried about the car and not me?" Jude stood in disbelief. "Yes." She took another sip of her tea. "Damn!" I slapped a hand over my mouth, trying to conceal my laughter.
"I'm outta here, you guys are being proper mean." He put his cap on and walked to the front door. I said goodbye to Denise then ran to the door. Jude was already holding it open for me. "Thanks." I blankly said. Jude gave me a look of disapproval.
He grabbed my arm, pulling me back. "Stop acting like I'm a stranger instead of your boyfriend. Mum's already giving us suspicious looks." He whispered into my ear. I sighed, glancing over at Denise. She was staring HARD.
I'd grab his hand, intertwining our fingers. "Are you ready babe?" I almost vomited hearing those words come out of my mouth. "Yes." He shut the door, leading me to the car. "That was excessive." I unlocked the car and got into the driver seat.
"So, why do you not have your license?" I'd turn on the car, putting my seatbelt on. "Just never had the time, really. Always been busy with football and other things.." He pulled out his phone. "What might those other things be?" I turned to look at him.
