Chapter 6: Learning through Connection

                                    

                                          

Having overcome the first obstacle to mending their relationship, Unik and Gojo have begun spending more brother and sister time together while completing missions and training Yuji. Unik and Gojo had just returned from a mission involving first-grade curses attacking people at a cemetery. The two walked into the basement of their building where Yuji was being kept hidden from the elders. After battling a special grade right before a meeting with the Principal of Jujutsu High and getting assigned their latest mission, Gojo has been pushing Yuji to train even harder. To practice his ability to control his curse energy he would watch movies while channelling a steady amount of cursed energy into a cursed corpse called Tsukamoto. This doll would punch Yuji if he could not channel his curse energy steadily into it. To improve his combat skills with curse energy and better understand fighting curse users, Yuji would train with Unik and sometimes Gojo. Unik had grown fond of Yuji, a goofy teen that's about a year older than her who is physically very strong...and missing a few screws in the head.

	Yuji yells out as he falls from the edge of a cliff. As he plummeted to the ground, Unik jumped off the same ledge at him, a blade in her hand aiming right for his heart. Yuji reaches his hand out as if to caress Unik's check, to convince her not to do this to him. Thud. Yuji's back hit the soft grass beneath him, opening his eyes he saw Unik sitting cross-legged beside him. Yuji sprang up and looked around, the cliff he had fallen from had disappeared, the blade that was in Unik's hand was back in her leg holster and Yuji found himself still on Jujutsu High's spare training ground. 
	"I win...again!" exclaims Unik, beaming. She stands up and stretches her hand out to help Yuji up.
	"Your illusions are scary real..." Mumbles Yuji as he takes Unik's hand and pats the dirt and grass off his clothing. "I really did think I was falling from a cliff...that you were gonna cut out my heart."
	"Thank you. My brother is also proud of me for how strong I have gotten...good luck ever winning against me honestly." Unik raises her nose to the air as Yuji chuckles at Unik's surprisingly prideful side. Yuji's reaction brings warmth to Unik's cheeks, sending her heart fluttering. Turning away from Yuji, she smiles and stares out into the large field. The old training ground has a beautiful view over the mountains and various buildings of Jujutsu High. When she was younger Gojo would often find Unik playing with Megumi and Tskumi after he'd finished a mission. Yuji also faced the view, trying to give Unik a moment of silence while his eyes glanced over to her. It's mesmerizing, thinks Yuji, how beautifully Unik's white hair flowed in the wind...how the sun gleamed across her smooth skin and lit up her eyes. 
	"Yuji..." Gojo's voice makes Yuji jump. Whipping around he finds Gojo towering over him with a forced smile. "How did the training go with my sister?" 
	"I-I-um...it was...she's very talented." Yuji stumbles a couple of steps back from his teacher. Gojo smiles, satisfied with Yuji's response and turns to Unik. 
	"Do you have anything to report to me before we head off?" asks Gojo.
	"Physically he is really strong but...Yuji needs to remember to find patterns in people's techniques. Curses and curse users are not the same." states Unik as she gives Yuji a light punch in the arm. "However, I will say he has improved since yesterday...I wasn't able to stab him today." 
	"Seriously? That's hilarious" says Gojo as he pats Unik on the head. Yuji eyed the siblings with concern, "am I gonna die before hitting the battlefield?" wonders Yuji.
	"There is something we need to do though," Gojo says, interrupting Yuji's morbid thoughts. "As you know, Unik and I are both going on separate missions again, we are leaving tomorrow morning." The trio had begun making their way back to the basement where Nanami was waiting for Yuji to continue another mission involving transfigured humans, a possible case with a curse user or a newly awakened sorcerer like Yuji. "Unik might be back early though to help you and Nanami out."
