"We finish this! This is for everyone we've lost! Today we end this once and for all!" Rick shouted. The groups cheered in agreement as we all prepared for the final fight.
I released a shaky breath as my fingers tapped on my forearms. My arms were crossed over my chest in an attempt to keep them from fidgeting at my sides. I was nervous and anxious to say the least.
A pair of hands slid around my waist and pulled me close which distracted me momentarily.
"You alright?" Daryl asked.
"I'd be lying if I said yes." I answered.
"Everything will be alright." Daryl kissed my ear sending tingles down my spine.
I hope so. I kept the thought to myself.
Forcing a smile I joined in on the cheering as everyone started making their way to vehicles.
Myself and a few others covered our faces with war paint. The others did it as a ritual whereas I did it to cover up my eyes so the bags under my eyes weren't so noticeable.

My hair was braided back into a high ponytail. I wore a black t-shirt under some make-shift armour that was decently heavy. I was surprised by the craftsmanship that went into the making of it. The only downside was that it was what I had worn at the Sanctuary. Rick figured it would be fitting that Negan still saw me as one of the Saviors. Not that Negan would trust me anymore. I figured the underlying reason was so that I had some sort of protective gear on. I didn't really care. Armour was armour.
Once I reached Daryl's motorcycle I ensured I had my guns loaded and ready. Just in case! I had two hand guns strapped to my thighs, an assault rifle and my sword slung over my shoulder.
"Ready?" Daryl asked, strapping his crossbow to the front of his bike. He too had an assault rifle hanging on his shoulder and a large machete strapped to his leg.
"Let's get this over with." I cocked the hand gun before holstering it.
