"we're moving to Korea?" Mattheo asked in disbelief, "dad, you do know that me and Dora have 0% on Korean knowledge?"
"and what's wrong with our school here?" Theodora butted in, "if we did something wrong, just please let us fix it! it'll be hard to move to a school where we know nothing about the language and culture."
"I'll teach you two," their father said, "it'll not be hard kids, I'm Korean."
"dad, you do know that we've lived here for fifteen years and the only thing we can say in Korean is annyeonghaseyo?" Mattheo raised his eyebrow.
"Theo, I know this will be hard to adjust, but we got to move, alright?" their father said, "it's a new start."
"what would mom think if you moved back to the place where you were unhappy?" Theodora asked.
their mother had died a couple of years ago in a car accident.
"I—," their father sighed, "she'll be proud that I'll be facing new challenges in my life, just like how you two are going to."
the twins exchanged worried glances.
"alright," the two sighed, "we'll try."
"thank you, Theo, Dora," their father embraced them tightly, "I will make sure you still have good lives there."
when Theodora and Mattheo entered the school the next day, awestruck glances were thrown at them immediately.
Mattheo's stunning emerald eyes captivated the attention of many. His tall figure, charming smile, and messy dark brown hair stood out from the others.
meanwhile, Theodora was like the female version of Mattheo. Except her hair was in a messy low bun.
"annyeonghaseyo?" Theodora bowed as she pinched Mattheo in the shoulder to bow as well.
"these are two students, Lee Mattheo and Lee Theodora," Mrs. Kim introduced.
"are Mattheo and Theodora their real names?" one of their classmates.
Theodora, the smarter one that picked up the language a bit quicker than Mattheo, understood the question and nodded.
"yeah," Theodora replied, "our mother named us after all."
