“well then, if we’re all gonna study together then we might as well hang out at nagi’s place.” reo proposed, staring down at his phone. he seemed to be texting someone. nagi hummed absentmindedly in response, all of his focus was on the shooting game he was caught up on. i stared at the two quietly, shifting my balance from one leg to the other anxiously. i didn’t think this over properly.

i thought we were going to study at like, a library or something. but of course it’d be at one of their houses… sure i might’ve slept over nagi’s place that one time, but it was vastly different. it wasn’t really a hangout or something like that, it was just him picking me up from the cold and rainy streets and allowing me to stay over for the night like i’m some sick stray kitten. but i guess i do prefer it over reo’s house. i knew reo was rich, he must have a lot of people at his house. i wouldn’t be able to take the pressure of it, or even stepping into a rich persons house in general… what if i accidentally dirty the floor or break something? i bet it’d cost me more than my kidney’s do in the black market. ugh… i’m so cowardly. i bet nagi didn’t even blink when he first went to reo’s house. or anyone else for that matter!

why am i even overthinking this… it’s not like i’m going to his house or something. we’ll take the next bus to nagi’s home and we’ll get this study stuff over with!

i stared in shock as reo and nagi casually entered the huge car and then at the tall woman who had opened the door for them with a bow. i almost dropped my school bag from surprise and flinched when she turned to me curiously. reo and nagi seemed to notice my frozen figure outside and turned to me as well. “you’re not coming in, y/n?” reo asked, leaning his head out of the car.

i blinked furiously, and looked at the old lady. “u-uh………… ok…….” i mumbled, before getting in the car as well. nervously, i sat beside nagi, across from reo. the car was spacious and the seats were comfortable. i don’t think i’ve ever seen or experienced something so fancy… and for it to be natural for reo and nagi is something that baffles me. i’m sure nagi was surprised at first too, but giving how much they hung out i wouldn’t be shocked if he’d grown used to it quickly. or nagi is probably not the type of guy to even care about stuff like this.

i was tense the entire time, watching as he poured us an alcohol free drink. i declined quickly, stating that i’d probably spill it on accident…

"relax a little, y/n. you won't spill it. even if you do, i'll just get it cleaned." reo said, waving his hand dismissively while i aggressively shook my head in denial. "i-i wouldn't want to be a bother...." i mumbled, fidgeting with my school bag anxiously. i felt nagi staring at me from the corner of his eye before leaning backwards on his seat. "let her be," he muttered before pulling his phone out of his pocket. "what's the plan? studying at my house and that's all?"

reo sighed. "well, i never thought you were the type of guy who needed help studying? i don't think we've ever studied together before, actually."

nagi shrugged, "that's cuz' I don't need help studying."

"haah... then why did you..." the purple haired boy began, before sighing a second time in defeat. "fine! we'll be assisting y/n then. i'm gonna study at the same time, so i guess your help will be appreciated."

"'kay." he spoke, not once looking up from his phone.

"um... how long will we study? i'm probably gonna have to go home before dark.." i spoke quietly, looking over at reo who smiled. "don't worry, we'll return before sunset. i can drive you home."

"no... it's ok. my parents won't be happy." i shook my head, and he nodded. "well, i could drop you off nearby. let me know if you change your mind."
