She stood, frozen, for Diana knows how long. She blinked a few times, slapped herself, just trying to get rid of the shock and horror. Even though she winced whilst she slapped herself, her main thought was, the people in the machines must be going through worse.
I mean, to watch your loved ones get tortured whilst you had to hurt others? (Well, maybe that wasn't exactly what was happening, but Em overreacted all the time.) She shook her head. Her thoughts snapped back to Sabrina, then to Felice.
Felice.
She was probably already fighting the robots, oh god. And Emily knew for sure, that people would do almost anything for their loved ones. Just like her mother did.
It was 2018, a quite cold day in Winter. Emily looked out the window, cheekily smiling at her mom as she took a cookie. Her mother chuckled and rolled her eyes. Her gaze, though, was one of worry and sadness.
As soon as Emily noticed that, she became confused. "Mommy?" She asked. "What's wrong? Are you thinking about papa again? Don't miss him! He'll come back soon." She hugged her mother. Her mother smiled a sad smile. "No, my sweet Emi. I'm not worried about him." Emily looked up. "Then what?"
Her mother's smile dropped. She whispered to Emily, "darling, what time is it?" She ignored Emily's question. She was confused, but checked anyways. "...It's, like, um... 11:55." Her mother's eyes turned blank.
She shooed Emily upstairs, locking her in the attic. "Mama!" Emily cried, beating the door until her hands hurt. She curled in a corner, sobbing.
She then heard gunshots. Her eyes widened. "Mommy?"
...
Emily shook her head. Now was not the time to think of the past. She had to focus on the future. Specifically, the future of Bronze. And Felice.
She checked all the other day entries, and the iPhone's map. There seemed to be a room, filled with people. But as she checked into the security cameras, (the phone had them. Stupid Doctor.) there didn't seem to actually have any people (or body heat!) at all!
Emily pondered for a bit. "Could it be... That the Doctor is tricking everyone? I mean, I know photoshop exist... As does AI filters and such..." Emily was quite confused.
She decided she was right. I mean, if the room specified for keeping people didn't have any people in it, where else would the Doctor keep them? None of the other room were suitable, and some didn't even have cameras or broadcasters.
What if... She went over to each and every robot, showed them the proof, and asked for their help to defeat the Doctor? Most of the people in Bronze were driven by revenge or love.*
Yeah. Yeah, she was going to do that. And she would assemble an army. She would help defeat the Doctor.
She would avenge her mom.
