I pulled away from Ya Muhammad so quickly you would think he was on fire.

No. I need to find someone to dig a hole in the ground right now. A hole so tiny I won't ever be able to come out if I go in.

"Oh-..sorry." She said as dragged her son out of the room with her, she closed the door behind them.

One look at my face and Ya Muhammad started laughing quietly.

He's...laughing? He's laughing?!! I can't find a single funny thing in what just happened.

Even him I can't face him talkless of them, talkless of my mother in law!

"Take me back" I said as I leaned my forehead on his chest.

"Where?" He asked.

"Jigawa, I can't stay in this city any longer" I said and I was so so serious.

His laugh got louder as he shook his head in amusement.

"This isn't funny" I said to him with a frown on my face, he didn't even look embarrassed at all.

"This is very funny." He said as he chuckled.

"Cmon let's go" he said, dragging my hand.

I shook my head "go where?? I can't face her right now."

"Fine by me, but the more we stay longer the more she thinks tha-.."

I didn't even let him finish the sentence because I squealed and I covered my mouth with my hand realizing he's right.

He said that to tease me and he succeeded because he continued to laugh.

I'm so serious I'm not finding this funny at all.

"Ok, how about you say I'm not feeling well-."

He cut me off "she'll come to see you, and I'm sure she'll see through your lie because you looked pretty well the last time she saw you."

I don't like his teasing side, it annoyed me, and right now that was what he was doing.

And he 100% wanted that and once he saw he succeeded he chuckled again.

"Manal it's not a big deal, let's go, and she won't bring it up I promise, trust me when I tell you Mami is as embarrassed as you are." He said as he attempted to drag my hand out the door again

She's as embarrassed as I am!? Was that supposed to make me feel better??

"This is all your fault." I murmured absentmindedly, overthinking the entire situation.

This wasn't his fault but he nodded and he accepted it, as long as that could get me out the door.

"You didn't tell her you were coming with me?" I said.

"I didn't tell her I was coming at all." he replied.

I shook my head as we walked into the living room, hitting my forehead with my other palm that wasn't held by his hand. "What will she think of me??"
