Watching Emma and Gilda shakily fall in their beds as quietly as possible was almost saddening, hours had probably pass as I laid there hearing quiet sniffles from Gilda's bed- She was crying, trying not to wake anybody up. I looked towards Emma's bed squinting to see her expression the best I could in the dark, she was asleep from what I could guess but her face was scrunched up into a face that could be described as discomfort; her brows creasing in worry as a frown made its way on her face.
I looked back to Gilda who was in the bed next to Emma as she let out hushed cries to not alert anybody, I sat up in my bed knowing that Gilda hadn't noticed yet. Slipping out from underneath my covers I carefully made my way over to the door- Gilda luckily was facing away as I snuck out the room.
Sighing in relief as I tiptoed over to the second room filled with kids, I spied the room for only a moment before spotting Norman still awake surprisingly just staring at the ceiling. I quickly and quietly made it over there tapping him quickly, he jumped in response sitting up to look over to me.
"C-Conny.." The albino child muttered quietly as I nodded back to him, "We need to talk.." I whispered seriously causing him to nod back without a moment of hesitance. We crept down to the Library and shutting the door behind us quietly behind us.
Norman switched on the lights as I made a quick glance at the time. 2:43am. The chances of us getting caught was low, I sighed yet again as Norman plopped on a chair tiredly, "You didn't sleep did you? Norman." I looked to him as I climbed onto a chair myself.
"You didn't either did you Conny?" He smiled lightly looking down at me with a soft gaze, "Conny was busy thinking." I responded defending myself as I crossed my arms as Norman chuckled at that.
"Conny has a task for Norman." I began changing the topic to something more serious- Norman's smile remained still on his face. "Emma, Gilda, and Don won't be so subtle that they hadn't seen anything. Gilda perhaps depression, Don anger and Emma- a bit of Denial and depression." I listed; my eye brows creasing lightly as Normans stare only hardened as he observed my expressions.
"You handle Emma, she'll might confide the truth to you- you mention that you and Ray found some books. Make it subtle but obvious enough for her to catch on, become their ally. I'll help Don for now- he'll be angry and upset. As for Gilda get Emma to help her." I took a breather after the explanation, "And you?" I looked up to see Norman look back with an interested stare.
"What will you do Conny?"
I tilted my head at his words a smile making way onto my face, I sat up straighter with my hands tucked calmly in my lap.
"I'll be the distraction."
The Next Morning as I had suspected- Emma looked gloomy, Gilda was in a state of depression and Don? He was weird- this morning he straight up barged into the room and snatched me and Little Bunny away as soon as we had all gotten ready. He held onto me tightly-
