Chapter Fifteen 
Hoseok's pov 
The sun was shining, and the tree's leaves seemed to be blowing every which way, it also had just started sprinkling. The weather had been weird all day but perhaps it was because of today's events. Today we were taking that paternity test and after what y/n had told me a few nights ago about Mae and Mark secretly messing around I felt hopeful. Though I felt terrible for Avery, I was never close with her mainly because she always threw herself at me and it made me feel weird but still, seeing the distress this caused y/n, I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that. Especially because they had two kids already, but I selfishly was hoping I wasn't the father. Things had been good with me and y/n lately, but I also know she's holding back because we don't have a real answer yet. "You ready to do this?" I nod as my lawyer and my own Doctor follow me into the room, we were at her Doctors facility. Maeve is already in the room with her doctor, her face drops when I walk in with my lawyer and Doctor. 
"What is all this?" she asks, I can tell she's already fuming. "I just want to make sure everything is done correctly. Dr. Lee will just be overseeing the process to make sure nothing happens." 
She's practically shaking because she's so mad right now but I just needed to be clear. "You trust me that little Hoseok?" I nod my head, her Doctor looks frazzled by this whole situation "Perhaps we should step outside, Dr. Lee will stay and be present for the whole thing" I look to my lawyer and nod before we step out of the room. "I don't think we should let her doctor process the test, I think it would be better if Dr. Lee processes everything so there is no way her doctor could alter anything." I nod, I honestly felt sick. Seeing not only her reaction but her Doctors as well made me grateful that I brought Dr. Lee because they were definitely up to something. "Thanks for being here Rj, I just can't trust her, so I needed you present in case anything happened." Rj nods, he had been my lawyer for about a decade now, he was assigned to me by my parents and took loyalty to heart. He had been there for me through all my mistakes, personal and work related. He never really said much either, just what was needed for each situation. 
"Is Mrs. Jung okay these days?" 
I raise my brow at him as he bows his head, it was like he was embarrassed to look at me for asking a question. "y/n? she's been good. Or trying to be, she's pretty stressed about all this but I don't blame her." He nods again "She's a good woman, I hope this all works out for you both." I smile, this was the most Rj had said to me about anything personal. He was an older man with no kids or wife, at least none that I knew of. "Thanks Rj" We sit in silence for what seems like an hour, I didn't think It would take this long honestly but knowing Mae she was probably fighting them on everything. After another fifteen minutes the door finally opens and out comes Dr. Lee, he looks frustrated as he waves us in. Maeve is sitting up and glaring at us with her arms crossed over her chest "Did everything go okay?" Dr. Lee nods "There was some difficulty, but we got what we needed, If Dr. Lang here is okay with it. I think I should process the results of the test at my facility. You both should have results in 3 to 5 business days." 
"Absolutely not, I want Dr. Lang to process the results. I only trust him." Mae shouts, she's sending daggers at Dr. Lang right now and he seems conflicted about something. "Why don't we have Dr. Lee take the test results and Dr. Lang can help facilitate the test. That makes it all fair." Rj states, he looks between me and Maeve now, I nod in agreement, but Mae just keeps glaring at Dr. Lang. "Do you think that's a good idea Dr. Lang? Will you be able to work with this idiot at his facility?" I can hear Dr. Lee sigh besides me "Yes Mae, I think its fair and I shouldn't have a problem" the two stare at each other for a moment longer before Maeve nods in agreement and gets to her feet. "Fine, do what needs to be done so I can prove to this asshole that this his his child" I roll my eyes now "You'll have to beg for forgiveness once we get these results Hoseok, you'll see soon enough that I'm the only real woman that loves you and that we will have our happily ever after with this baby." I stay firm as she passes and touches my chest "I'll see you soon" she smirks before she leaves the room.
