(@Eyes: I've forgotten a lot about the COTE characters and plot, so I wrote this fanfic for fun. I don't prioritize updating it, as I'm focusing on another fanfic. This one is for the character Teru -> Baku.)

---

Teru Mikami, or as we can now call him, Baku Madarame, suddenly found himself on a bus, sitting at the back. As he looked out the window, he noticed his white hair and realized he was in a younger version of this body. He smiled and used his Empathic Manipulation to sense the emotions of the student in front of him.

An empty emotional reading—could this be the main character of this world? From the anime information I have on Ayanokouji, he might be able to control his emotions. It seems impossible that he feels nothing at all. I remember a scene from the Light Novel where Karuizawa hugged Ayanokouji on a date, and he showed a slight reaction.

As Baku mulled over his thoughts, an elderly woman entered the bus, and just like in the anime, the female bus attendant noticed the grandmother and said, "Don't you feel bad seeing that grandmother standing?"

Koenji, who heard this with a smirk, replied, "That's an unreasonable question, miss. Why should I give up my seat to an old lady? I have no reason to give it."

The female attendant responded, "The seat you're sitting in is for the elderly! You should offer it to someone older than you!"

Kushida, with a concerned expression, chimed in, saying she agreed with the attendant—the elderly woman seemed too frail to stand. Wouldn't Koenji give up his seat?

Baku watched the scene unfold with a knowing smile; he didn't think Koenji would give up his seat to the old woman. After getting off the bus, he saw Horikita talking to Ayanokouji and slowed down to listen to their conversation.

Ayanokouji, while walking, greeted Horikita and asked, "Did you think about giving your seat to the elderly woman?"

Horikita replied, "No, I didn't. Why do you ask?"

Ayanokouji explained, "Well, I don't want to get involved in any trouble."

Horikita countered, "We're not the same. I didn't give up my seat because I thought it was pointless."

Ayanokouji replied, "That's a selfish way of thinking."

Horikita retorted, "Maybe... but I act according to my beliefs. I'm not like someone who avoids problems."

Ayanokouji responded, "I don't want to be caught up in the same trouble as you."

Baku, who noticed that their discussion about the seat had ended, clapped his hands and said, "Wow, you two really make a perfect couple. Two selfish people who don't want to give up their seats. By the way, I'm Baku Madarame. If we're close friends, you can call me Baku."

Seeing that neither Ayanokouji nor Horikita seemed interested, Baku smiled and entered the classroom, choosing a seat at the back. He wasn't going to take the protagonist's seat—this way, he could interact more easily with Ayanokouji and Horikita.

As he sat down, he noticed that all the seats were full. The Class D teacher entered and said, "Good morning, new kids. My name is Chiyabashira Sae. I'll be your homeroom teacher this year. I'll teach Japanese history."

"There is no class exchange system at this school, so I'll be with you for the next three years until you graduate. Before the opening ceremony, I'll give you a file with the school's rules and some instructions for new students like you."

Baku read the rules, which stated, "All students must stay on campus and are not allowed to contact anyone or anything outside, including family." This school has something special that makes it different from others.

Chiyabashira Sae looked at the students reading their files and explained, "I'll be handing out your school cards. You can use these cards to pay for anything on campus; they're like credit cards. Remember, if you run out of points, you won't be able to buy anything. Use them wisely."

You can use this card by swiping it at a machine for transactions. Each point is equivalent to 1 yen. On the first of each month, you'll automatically receive a deposit of points.

All of you start with the same amount of points. Your cards should already have 100,000 points. What a surprise, right? This school operates on the premise that students are inherently good. For those of you who passed the entrance exam, congratulations.

(@4Eyes: 100,000 yen is approximately 631 USD.)

However, once you graduate, your points will be reset to zero. Use your points wisely. You can spend them on yourself or give them to someone else, but do not try to extort points from others. The school has strict policies against this behavior.

(4Eyes: I have an idea for a clever way to "squeeze" points from students in the next chapter. Stay tuned!)

"Well, since I don't see any hands raised, I wish you all a great time at school," the teacher concluded.

Baku, noticing that Chiyabashira had finished speaking and left the classroom, said in his mind, 'STATUS.'

Main Mission: Become a Class A student

Reward: Isekai Card

Realizing that his system only has one function, Baku still felt grateful to have all the abilities of his new body.

(4Eyes: 👀 I took this dialogue from the manga, and I've only watched Season 1 of the anime, which was a long time ago. As for the light novel, I only know a few spoilers and a couple of characters from the White Room. I won't focus on this story, but I'll try to write when I have free time.)
