"What is with you guys and saying my name like that?— Futakuchi bended his eyebrows.

"Yeah you gotta-stop that," you nudged your boyfriend in the side.

"Wait, wait, wait—he's your boyfriend?
The guy you were crying to me about like all fucking summer?"
Futakuchi didn't say it with any aggression. He was never that type of person. He just sounded shocked, and very hurt. And he was, thinking over about that broken expression on your face as you balled your eyes out in his arms. Crying with such devastation because - Kuroo couldn't keep a secret-

"You cried all summer?" Kuroo suddenly asked with astonishment on his tone.
His palm slid until your shoulder offering comfort.

"Later..Kuroo.." you whispered.

"I know what your thinking..but it wasn't him—
You began.

"How do you know that? You were so sure before," the brown haired boy was extremely puzzled.

"Just believe me when I say it wasn't—

"Wasn't me bro," Kuroo interrupted.

You looked to Kuroo giving him a
'please don't get in the middle' look, for the reason that you didn't want the outcome of the explanation to him to be tainted with words from Kuroo and not you. You didn't want conflict between them.

Kuroo understood the message sent by your peer.

"Who did it then?" It was Beatrice wasn't it?" Futakuchi asked raising a brow.

"Beat-what? No...I'm not sure..still. But I'm positive Kuroo wasn't the one."

Futakuchi exhaled out as he gazed into your eyes, reassured by the confidence glossed over your eyes.

"Ok. I won't get too far in you guys business. As long as your sure and happy (y/n)." his lips tugged upwards weakly.

"I am."

"Alright." He looked down at his timetable hinting he was about to depart. He clutched onto the strap of his bag changing the direction of his body to the route of his next lesson.

"I'll see you at practice, right?"
Futakuchi questioned Kuroo, raising his head from the sheet of paper for just a second.

"Yeah. It's nice to know we'll have a new addition," Kuroo smirked.

Futakuchi reflected the welcoming gesture by smirking back. Then he looked over to you and his smile withered away.

"I'll go first then," Futakuchi spoke, seconds before he strolled off.

You exhaled outwards, desiring to release the awkwardness that was strung up inside.
You wished you had spoken to him before, in private, because standing next to Kuroo whilst having that conversation made you undeniably agitating. Especially agitating with the recollection that the boy claimed to still be in love with you.

"You didn't tell me you cried all summer."

"It wasn't ALL..well kinda was all minus a little part..but then add that part back in. I mean what did you expect? I wouldn't want you to feel like it was your fault for it. I was the one who didn't believe you, my best friend."

The halls started to clear up making the reverberation of your voice louder then before.
Students were getting to class, which you should've been doing but Kuroo was holding you back.

Kuroo swayed over from your side to the front of you.

"But I'd like to know stuff like that.
You're my girlfriend and I care a lot about you," he cupped your cheek.
