After arriving in the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, USA, Joe already felt the difference between the Philippines and the United States.

The cultures, the styles, the people. Almost everything in sight. He might be culture shocked by what he sees, but he needs to adopt towards the American way within the next couple of weeks.

He then arrived into Austin by a 3 and a half hour drive. Once there, he bought an cheap but wide appartment near the complex of the university using his own money earned from his allowances back when he was in Batangas.

Once he arrived in the apartment with an already reserved bed and electorinics, he then would have a very long and deserving rest. He would also adjust towards the current time zone he is living with now because of the time difference between Austin and Batangas.

Two days later, since he is still sleeping due to tireness the day after he arrived, he would now have the energy to quickly tide his things according to what he wanted to tide his things.

There was a 5-storied drawer reserved for him, so he put his clothes according to what he wanted to put in each drawer. There was also a table also reserved for him, so he puts his things for his studies and his personal things. He then found a picture of his mother Chelsea and his grandmother Belinda beside him.

Despite still missing them, he wanted to move forward into his studies as he starts a new chapter of his high school life in the University of Texas–Austin.

Within time, Joe adopted to the life and style his American classmates have to offer. The Filipino struggled in his studies at first, but with time, his studies continued to rise, picking up what he left off back home.

One day, the principal of the university was called by Principal Damocles of the Collége Françoise Dupont in Paris, France. He wanted to introduce one of the university's high school students into their school, not only to teach for their culture but also as a student of the school to make sure their international presence is used.

"So, you wanted one of our great students to come into your school because you wanted the school's international presence to be presented even more, right?,"the principal of UTA asked.

"Yes. The best student from your campus would be perfect for one of our classes. And surely enough, that same student can achive the best in our school while enjoying the City of Love.," Principal Democles answered.

"I think I found someone capable off your school.," the UTA principal said and thank the Dupont principal afterwards. "Make sure he's here at our school at the start of the following academic year.," Mr. Democles said before ended to conversation.

The UTA principal knows who he can call: Joe Gibson. But there was one problem.

Joe is now on his 10th grade and in his 2nd year in Texas. Leaving the city for Paris is like a dream crusher for the Filipino considering two years ago back in Batangas, he was offered to be at UTA, and he now wanted to stay in the campus.

He wanted to stay because he is loyal towards the university. He wanted to stay because he has an already picked collage course at the unversity. He wanted to stay because that's now his dream of finishing at one of the most iconic American colleges and universities in history, the University of Texas–Austin.

Neverthereless, he was still called by the principal of the university.

"Joe Gibson, please proceed to the prinicpal's office. I repeat. Joe Gibson to the principal's office."
