"She just keeps getting more confusing," Senshi said rolling her eyes.
Two days passed by quickly as they finally made it to the land of snow. It was a winter wonderland, white covering as far as the eyes could see.
"It's quite pretty," Aisura said.
Sora couldn't agree, all she saw was danger lurking around every corner, she now felt as if that person was right behind her breathing down her neck, but no matter how many times she looked back no one was there.
"Let's hurry this up," Sora said hating being here.
"for once we agree," Senshi said as they kept walking.
It would take a few more hours before they reached the abandoned compound. As they kept walking Sora became more sceptical starting to recognise certain landmarks. There was no way they were going to the Hisha compound right? Surely not, it was just a coincidence. But she was sorely mistaken as at the end of their journey there in front of them stood her old home.
She was frozen at the front of the compound as the other three entered. She covered her mouth as the sudden urge to throw up hit her. Why here. Surly the Hokage knew who lived here. Is this why he sent them? Was this some kind of sick joke? Sora had to take a deep breath. He didn't know about her past with the Hisha clan, she had never spoken about it. So he probably sent her here just because she was a Hisha and might know more about this area and not because he wanted to hurt her.
"You coming Sora?" Aisura questioned.
But as he turned around to look at her he froze seeing her look more pale than usual as she stared at the entrance, Senshi also turned around preparing to hurry her up but also stopped seeing Sora look like she was about to throw up.
"Sora," Tatsuo called out.
She finally looked up at the but was still frozen in place.
"I'll catch up with you, so go on ahead," Sora said her voice shaky.
Senshi went to object but before she could Tatsuo spoke.
"don't take too long," Tatsuo said taking the other two with him.
"But Tatsuo sensei should we really be leaving her alone," Senshi asked showing that she was worried about Sora.
"She just needs some time," Tatsuo said.
The two didn't question it anymore. Tatsuo now knew she had some kind of history with this place, Though he still didn't know what it was. Though he now knew it wasn't something good if it caused her to react like that. She only ever reacted like that when it came to matters involving Orochimaru. Was there some kind of connection?
Sora didn't know how long she stood in front of the compound just staring, two hours had passed. She finally worked up the nerve and calmed down from the shock enough to enter the compound. She clenched her fists as she sucked in the air holding her breath. She screwed her eyes closed as she stepped over the threshold. She opened her eyes to see both her feet were now planted in the compound which made her gut start churning again. She shook her head. She had to hide it, she couldn't let them see her like that again.
She forced her now heavy legs to move forward despite the fact she just wanted to turn around and run away. It took her a bit of time to find where they had set up, but she soon did, it was just a random house of one of the clansmen, the main household was still a little bit away at the centre of the compound.
"Look who finally made it," Senshi said looking at Sora.
"Sorry about that," Sora said quietly.
"It's fine. We're just glad you're here now," Aisura said.
"Now that we are all here let me explain the next part of our mission," Tastuo said.
The three looked at him now giving him their full attention.
"we will be looking for some books and scrolls in the main house in this compound. It's that simple, we will begin looking tomorrow and with enough luck, we should be able to search everywhere we need to within two days," Tatsuo explained.
"why can't we start now," Senshi complained.
"Because the main house is large and some areas are like a maze to confuse people who aren't meant to be there. We'll need A whole day to search half of it without getting lost," Sora said dully.
They looked at her shocked, how did she know that information? Sora imminently picked up on their looks.
"at least that's what I've heard places like this are like. Did I guess right Tatsuo sensei," Sora said nervousness in her voice.
"That's correct, so get some rest for the rest of the day, you'll need it," Tatsuo said watching Sora more carefully.
That wasn't common knowledge, from the knowledge they had of the Hisha the only people that knew that were those who had entered the main house. The only ones that were allowed to do so in the Hisha clan were the elders, higher up of the clan and the main family. He knew about the main house because he was one of the people who investigated the death of the Hisha and had explored this area, as well as prior knowledge of it, due to very specific circumstances and knowledge he had access to.
With those first trips here they weren't able to take back all the books and scrolls. Though now the Hokage had permission from the leaders of the snow to collect what they wanted, they also wanted to know what happened but were unable to figure it out themselves. Also after a hansdme payment from the Hpkage which Tatsuo was sure was the real reason they were letting them now take back the information.
He had to keep an eye on Sora closely now.
