See I awoke with the gentle touch of the morning sun brightening my room. As I scanned the room, Taehyung was nowhere to be found. Assuming he had left early, my eyes caught sight of a small note resting on my dressing table. I picked it up and began to read it.

Good morning, my love,

I can't wait for the day when I get to snuggle up next to you as we fall asleep together. Being with you fills my heart with so much happiness and love. You mean the world to me, my sunshine.

Sending you all my love, Your loving husband, Kim Taehyung

I sighed and tossed the sheet into the dustbin before making my way to the window. Opening it slowly, I took a deep breath of the fresh air. The sky was a calming shade of blue, the sunlight gentle and inviting. Birds chirped happily in the tall trees, while busy bees hummed and butterflies flitted around playfully. A cool breeze swept through, carrying the refreshing scent of dew-kissed leaves. The sun's warmth enveloped me, bringing a sense of joy to the morning. It truly was a delightful start to the day, signaling the transition from the cold winter to the warm spring season. As the sun shone brightly and the gentle wind caressed my skin, spring unfurled its blossoms, painting the world with vibrant colors. A soft smile graced my lips as I closed my eyes, allowing myself to let go of any lingering worries. Suddenly, the sound of my bedroom door unlocking caught my attention.

I know it must be Miss Cho. As usual, she would have brought food for me. Taehyung has assigned her the responsibility of taking care of me, so without turning around, I politely asked her to take the food back.

Y/n... Hearing a familiar female voice, I swiftly turned and looked at her, feeling surprised.

Eomma (Mrs. Grey): I rushed towards her and hugged her joyfully. Finally, I found someone with whom I could share my feelings openly. She hugged me back. "How did you end up here?" I asked with tears in my eyes. She smiled, wiped my tears, gently cupped my face with her hands, and then spoke.

Master Taehyung brought me here. After Mr. Park's passing, most of the maids at the Park Mansion returned to their homes, so I also planned to go back to my hometown. But before that, I wanted to see you one last time, so I reached out to Master Taehyung. He kindly brought me here and even offered me a job.

Are you going to work here from now on?" I asked eagerly, eyes wide with curiosity. "She nodded with a warm smile, and I couldn't resist pulling her into a tight hug, overflowing with happiness." "I'm so, so happy, Eomma, and I miss you more than words can say. Please promise me you won't leave me like Dad and Mom (Mr. & Mrs. Park)," I pleaded, a lone tear slipping down my cheek as memories of my parents flooded my mind. "I promise, dear. I'll always be right here by your side," she assured me, her touch on my back gentle and comforting. As we lingered in our embrace, she suddenly reached into her handbag, retrieving a worn diary and a faded letter, and held them out to me. I stared at the items in confusion, then turned to her for an explanation. "What's this, Eomma?" I inquired, my voice filled with curiosity and a hint of sadness.

With a solemn expression, she met my gaze and revealed, "This is your father's cherished diary and a heartfelt letter he penned just for you many years ago. He entrusted these to me, instructing that you receive them after his passing." Taking the diary and letter from my trembling hands, tears began to flow freely down my cheeks, a mixture of sorrow and gratitude washing over me.

"I understand that no words can erase the sorrow you carry, and as much as I try to comfort you, I know it won't heal your wounds. But there's something essential I need to tell you. Your father cherished you deeply. Even during his business trips abroad, he never stopped thinking about you. He would call me at least ten times a day just to ask about you. You may have thought he was too busy to care, but you were mistaken. He eagerly awaited your safe return home, and when he did, his first priority was always you. He would quietly spend time with you in your room, regretting the moments lost due to work. One day, I saw him holding your hands, sitting by your side, and tearfully expressing his doubts about being a good father to you. Hearing all this tugged at my heart, and I dearly miss my dad."
