Saiki felt nervous this was the first time he was out in public without telepathy, well the first time he's had peace and quiet since he could remember.
It was odd almost as if everyone was a nendou. he sat in the quiet cafe drinking his warm tea with a sweet dessert the only sound was the chatter of people walking by the cafe and the busy street a couple feet away. 
he felt nervous 
the chime of a bell echoed through the cafe as the door opened 
Y/n walked through the door, she smiled at saiki giving him a polite wave 
"hey saiki! thanks for the invite" she said with a small smile as she sat across for him. 
no- he only invited her for protection he wasn't used to being around a group of nendous and with someone who's use to it, it'll be easier to maneuver around.
he gave her a nod pushing a small piece of cake towards her
"thanks! you didn't have to get me anything" she said with a smile as she took a small bite from the cake "what was it that you wanted to do today anyways?" she said covering her mouth as she ate a slice of cake
he pulled out two tickets from his pocket- tickets to the local theater 
she read it and nodded excitedly "i heard it was a good movie! we should get going then!" she said as she finished the piece of cake "i can buy snacks since you got me a cake!" 
the two walked besides eachother in a soothing silence- mostly. Dealing with people was more difficult for saiki so Y/n kept dealing with them. 
within no time they made it to the theater, making their way to the snack bar they decided to get a pop corn bucket and some drinks. 
"are you sure that's all we need?" Y/n said slightly unsure about the snacks she's never sure when it came to food. 
as the two walk someone roughly bumped into saikis roughly causing him to trip. Y/n was luckily carrying the food but that didn't stop her from glaring at the older man who walked besides a women
"watch where your going jackass" the stranger said with a scoff causing Y/n to furrow her brows in anger
"why don't you watch the hell where your going" her voice fumed with anger, her tone and stance was practically threatening the man 
he scoffed "mind your own business and watch where the hell your boyfriends going" he said turning his back to her while the lady besides him giggled amused 
her hand clenched the tray roughly before she could say anything else a hand placed on her shoulder 
"it's not worth it" saiki said trying to keep the girl composure. 
She just muttered something underneath her breath while nodding in agreement "are you okay?" she asked as the walked into the darkened theater
He just nodded in response as the two sat in the chair saiki smiled to himself finally able to enjoy a movie.
Y/n drank some soda from the large cup as she placed it in between the two of them, not wanting to share straws they jammed two straws into the lid.
"Saiki? L/n?" the cheerful voice caught the two off guard. Y/n leaned forward and looking at teruhashi who sat besides saiki 
"oh! teruhashi" Y/n said with a small wave and laugh 
"what a coincidence" Teruhashi seemed off and the two could notice something bothered her 
'whyd i have to bump into teruhashi' saiki thought completely bothered by the fact she had to sit next to him now 
"saiki, are you and Y/n on a date?" her demeanored changed to smiley and cheerful. Only if saiki knew what she was really thinking
Y/n let out a small giggle "no, saiki just really wanted to see the movie so he just invited me" the atmosphere completely changed between the three 
'so he invited her but not me?' teruhashi thought as she put on her fake smile not trying to come off as nosy 
"I don't want you to get the wrong idea saiki, but i'm here with someone" teruhashi says nervously as she placed her hands in her lap 
Y/n tilted her head in response 'does teruhashi like saiki?' it wasn't that obvious- but with the questions and replies she could tell something was up 
suddenly a guy with blue hair and a white button up with glasses walked down the row "kokomi! i brough us popcorn"
"hey you there just what are you doing with my kokomi!" he accused saiki 
Y/n wanted to go home already feeling irritated by how many assholes she's ran into 
her eyes fell on to the small booklet saiki held with the main character, it was the same guy!
The theater began to rush to their row trying desperately trying to get photos and autographs 
"so..." i said to saiki as i shoved people out the way to get out of the crowded theater "it was a movie" 
Saiki let out an annoyed huff as we exited the theater.
