SIDDHARTH'S POV
The wound on her hand was definitely fresh, it wasn't there last night. When she dismissed my question about the injury, a flicker of concern flashed through my chest but then again, I was no one to put my nose in her business. Yet, I couldn't stop myself from getting irritated whenever my eyes fell on the bandage. Her hands were soft, they don't deserve such wounds on them.
I can't believe what just happened in a span of a few minutes, maybe not 360 degrees but my life did change 180 degrees. The woman in front of me, who I didn't want to see the face of, was standing as my would be wife now. Even if there was no love involved in this namesake marriage, I still felt a magnetic pull towards her to keep her safe. Sooner or later, she will become a part of my family and Noone messes with My Family.
The moment this plan striked me, I knew I had to make it work. Marrying Myra would not bind me and keep my family happy too, Giving me a break from this tiring process of rejecting different marriage proposals and I will finally have the time to focus on my work. Even if she never loves me, I will have no problem, not like I am ever going to love her either.
After finalising our Deal, We were about to walk back to the living room when my phone rang. Taking it out from my pocket, I looked at the caller ID displaying, "Mr. Chaddha."
"Myra you go, I will have to take this one."
I told her, who just nodded in response and left without saying anything. I watched her leave with a sigh, God knows what's with this girl? One second, you will see her shouting and speaking non-stop and the next second she will go completely silent. I shook my head and cleared my throat before answering the call.
"Yes Mr. Chaddha?"
"Sir, I collected all the share breakdowns of Mr. Rathore's company. The file is ready at your desk."
A smirk formed on my face upon hearing that information, I could only imagine the shock on Rathore's face when he found out what I was about to do; can't wait for that.
"I'll be there soon."
Saying that, I hung up and shoved the phone back into my pocket. Maintaining a straight face, I walked back to the living room only to see everyone feeding sweets to one another. Oh so, Myra already told them! I don't know why but when I saw my mother feeding the sweets to Myra, the mere sight made my heart race but I was quick to push back that feeling.
"I still can't believe she said yes, you didn't threaten her right?"
Whispered my father, coming right in front of my ear. His sudden presence almost made me jump as my eyes narrowed at his statement. Letting out a scoff, I adjusted the collar of my shirt before answering him.
"If you are forgetting then let me remind you, Your Son is the most eligible bachelor of Mumbai."
"Well not anymore."
He said and shoved a whole ladoo in my mouth without any warning, knowing damn well that I am on a diet. I almost choked myself on it but still managed to gulp it down. My eyes looked up only to find my mother talking to Myra, who looked a little uncomfortable.
Wait!
What If she started talking to her about children? My mother's excited self couldn't be trusted at all, she could blabber anything.Taking quick steps, I walked forward to them but was halted in my tracks by Sanvi, who I assumed to be Myra's younger sister. An awkward smile formed on my face as she gave a teasing smile. Wiggling her eyebrows, she gestured to me to bend down.
