''can we take a break now? we havent even eaten lunch yet!''

matthew wined at hanbin, who had his focus fully in his books. he looked up once and shook his head. ''come on, study two more chapters and we can go eat something. my treat.''

all matthew could hear was the free food and as a broke college student, there is nothing more that would give him motivation than food - and for free!

the younger gave a nod and immersed himself in the world of Fundamentals of Business Analytics, boring but a must in his major.

it has been days since hanbin had even heard of hao. not because he was obviously avoiding the latter but because exam season was right around the door - sure. he sighed for the nth time because he could barely focus on his material. the name, hao, had been chasing him forever since the last time they had seen each other.

he can't face him any time soon. he must make a plan before even appearing right in front of him or else he'll mess up big time again.

hanbin was very much aware that he's in a dangerous position, lying and ruining everything when everything was going well but he had his reasons.

hanbin wasn't a difficult person and had announced many times to his friend that he would give up on life but matthew managed to slap some sense in him every single time - barely succeeding.

it has been to long and he was getting tired too but he did miss hao a lot. but this is all for haos sake and for his happiness - that was by far hanbins priority.

but it wasn't the time to think about this all. he had caught himself staring at the pile of work in front of him and it wasnt going to finish itself. he sighed once more, this time catching the attention of younger boy.

''hanbin, i think we need a break. you've been sighing for the past ten minutes and doodling on the table instead of your paper."

hanbin was embarrassed, not realising how quiet the library must have been for matthew to hear him across the table. he didnt want to agree with the offer but he felt like he might explode if he sat here for a little longer so he nodded.
