The next day - Millie went over to Charlie's whilst Bella was out. "Hey dad." she said when he answered the door, "why didn't you use your key?" he asked letting her in. "I forgot it at Noah's" she said smiling going into the living room.
"Bella isn't in your room by the way. I made sure of it." Charlie told her making her smile, "thank you." she said as he walked into the kitchen putting the kettle on. When the tea was made he handed her one and sat down across from her - "I miss you around here." Charlie said making her look to the ground.
"Why are you dressed so formal?" he wondered seeing her clothing. "Oh - I have a job interview at the hospital to be an apprentice." Millie informed him, "What about school?" Charlie asked obviously not knowing what is happening with her most of the time. 
"I have a meeting with the principal on Monday, apparently I have enough credits or whatever to graduate this year." Millie explained, Charlie smiled proud of his daughter - "I'm proud of you." Charlie said making Millie smile bright.
"Thank you, how have you been?" Millie asked, "yeah good, I have noticed Bella becoming a lot more demanding since you have been gone." Charlie said making her sigh, "I told you, her behavior is unacceptable dad. The stalking, the tantrums everything. You know she's been texting me non stop that you've been crying, ignoring her and it's all my fault." Millie explained, showing him the texts Bella has been sending.
"Oh another thing you know about mine and Noah's vacation? She's planning on just turning up to the airport and claim something I don't know I wasn't listening." Millie added, Charlie rubbed his forehead in frustration almost giving up on Bella. "I best go - don't want to be late." Millie said after 15 minutes, they stood up and went to her car outside.
"Good luck." Charlie said hugging her, "I'll let you know after. Love you dad." Millie said letting go and leaving in her car. As she parked in the hospital carpark and took a few deep breaths before going inside. "Millie Swan, here for an interview for the apprentice position." Millie said to the woman at the desk, she checked on her system, "Dr. Cullen will be right with you, have a seat." the receptionist said to her making her eyes go wide.
When she looked up, she saw Carlisle walking towards her. "Miss. Swan - this way." Carlisle said and she followed him. "Please have a seat." he said shutting the door, "Millie - Noah told me you might be going into nursing and I thought I might give you a taste on what it would be like." Carlisle offered, "Thank you." Millie said getting up and hugging him. 
"So I start Monday?" Millie asked, "Oh wait - my principal wants to see me. Tuesday?" Millie added, "Tuesday is fine. Come in with Noah and you will shadow me." Carlisle said opening the office door.
