Calix's POV
I was walking home from work at 1:00 am. Ever since we left mom, and our sisters life went downhill. We don't even live in a proper house, we live in a large apartment, not a penthouse. When I arrived home, I saw two cops outside of the door, 'what did they do know' I thought to myself, actually concerned because they have never done anything so bad to get cops involved. The cops spotted me.
"Are you Calix Walker?'' 
the more muscular officer asked, dad had us change our last name to his not sure why tho. 
"Yes, yes I am, officer." 
I replied not sure what to think, little did I know that the next few words to exit his mouth would be so, I don't even know how to describe them. 
"You and your siblings are being taken away from your father, because he had been reported to social services for unfit childcare."  
The second officer said. 
'Of course he was' I thought to myself, you see ever since we left dad started to become an alcoholic and drug addict.
 "So, what's gonna happen now?" 
I asked, concerned about my siblings and I getting split up.
 
 "Well, we will take you and your brothers back to the station and continue from there."
My eyes widened to the size of saucers, 'why the station it's usually just foster care for other kids?' I thought to myself, I just nodded hesitantly.
 "Go tell your siblings to pack their stuff in suitcases just in case of anything." one of the officers said moving from the door, I nodded. 
 Eight hours, fifty minutes and ten seconds, well eleven now, that's how long we have been in this interrogation room, but who's counting, oh wait I am. Delrico was currently sleeping in Elijah's lap, I was brought out of my thoughts by the metal door being pushed open, the ones awake looked at the door and saw the same muscular officer that was at the apartment who I learned was officer John.
 "Your older  sisters want you back, and in their custody," he said.
       
"WHAT!" 
I looked at the source of the yell. I saw that it was Delrico, who was now awake, the rest of us were shocked but, Delrico was not amused, I wouldn't be happy either if my father convinced me that my sisters and mother didn't want me or my siblings.
 "What about our mother?" 
My brother Soran asked, fiddling with his thumbs.
 
 "She died, I'm sorry you had to find out this way."
 
Officer John said giving us his sympathy, we were all wide eyed he then continued.
"You will be going to Italy to live with them, you will be leaving in an hour to go to the airport.". 
We nodded and he then left the room.
 
 "What if they don't want us or they're just like dad or they send us back to foster care!" 
Calypso, my twin, started to ramble off 
"Hey, we don't know yet so think happy thoughts." 
I reassured him while also trying to reassure myself.' 
'Are you sure they will want me? I mean after all,  I am mute' 
Elijah another one of my brothers, Ezekiel's twin, signed with his hands we all had to learn sign language because we didn't want him to feel lonely.
 "If they don't want you and they try to send you to an orphanage, they'll have to send us too." 
I said, the rest nodded in agreement. 
Officer John entered the room
 "We're leaving now." 
He said, we had to go in separate cop cars when we were at the airport we exited the cars.
        Officer John led us, but he was going a different way than the other people
 "Umm sir where are we going?" 
I asked, he just stayed quiet Delrico, who was holding my hand gripped it tight, the others were giving me what's going on looks. I just shrugged and we then arrived at a Private Jet! The others stared wide eyed at the jet.
 "I knew our sisters were rich but wow." 
I mumbled to myself this was our first time on a private jet. We then boarded the private jet with our luggage. We've never been on a plane before other than the time we left mom and our sisters.  I sat next to Silus who was dozing off. I pulled him close and whispered to him.
"Go to bed, it's okay if you're tired especially after all of this"
Delrico sat with his bag on his lap he was in the seat across from me and he sat next to Calypso. After a few minutes I allowed myself to be embraced by darkness.
