Y/N had her arms wrapped around something as she stirred from her slumber. No, not something, someone, she realized as she felt the person's chest rising and falling.

"It wasn't a dream, he's really here," she whispered shakily as she ran her hand over Pitch Black's resting form.

He groaned and rolled over to face her, a slight smirk on his face. "You're finally awake. I was beginning to think I'd be trapped in your arms forever."

Y/N giggled and flushed red. "Knowing you, you would've escaped if you wanted to."

"Hm. You're right," he purred, stroking her cheek with his long, slender finger.

She shivered at his touch. So warm... Y/N sighed and sat up, gazing lovingly at Pitch, although there was sadness in her eyes. "You probably have to go, don't you?"

But to her surprise, he shook his head. "I don't have anywhere to be. I don't need to haunt children's dreams until the evening," he said with a sly smile.

Y/N clapped her hands excitedly. "Oh! Lovely! Just let me get dressed and I'll figure out something we can do together today!"

But as she approached her closet, Pitch was already beside her, and he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Allow me." He waved his hands and the shadows began to move around the room. They came together and formed a tangible blob that engulfed Y/N. The shadows were cold, yet comforting in a strange way. The shadows then morphed to Y/N's form and she felt them soften and become warm. She gasped as she realized they had turned into a dress!

"This is beautiful!" She breathed the light fabric swishing as she spun

"This is beautiful!" She breathed the light fabric swishing as she spun. "But... I can't go out in this!"

He snaked his arm around her waist and shook his head. "We're not going anywhere today, my love. I want to stay here, by your side, all day."

Y/N was touched as she leaned into Pitch. "I love that idea."

He softly kissed her forehead as he pulled away. "It's a bit too bright in here though... do you mind if I..."

Y/N shook her head. "No, no, go ahead," she said, thinking he was going to close the curtains.

But suddenly, he began to wave his arms around again, and shadows morphed around the room to create a whole different atmosphere!

He grinned as Y/N looked around her bedroom in shock.

"Do you plan on staying a while?" She asked, peeking out into the hallway. Sure enough, it looked just as different as her bedroom, with candlesticks lining the walls and dark wallpaper replacing the plain tan paint.

Pitch nodded, reaching out to clasp her hand in his. "I want to stay here. With you. I have no home. But being with you feels like home."

Y/N was touched by his words, and she pulled him close, giving him a gentle kiss. "Please, stay," she told him quietly as she pulled away. I want you to stay."

The pair went out to the kitchen, where Y/N was going to make breakfast, but Pitch insisted he do it instead. He made her Toad in a Hole, one of his favourite traditional dishes. Y/N loved it, amazed at how amazing Pitch was at cooking.

After breakfast, Y/N led Pitch to the couch and turned on the TV. "Have you ever watched any movies?" She asked.

Pitch shrugged as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Only snippets from when I go into children's rooms and they have fallen asleep while watching a movie. But they only ever watch cartoons. And I don't like them very much."

Y/N chuckled, looking through some movies on Netflix. "I'm assuming you don't want to watch horror?"

Pitch scoffed. "They get me all wrong in those movies. The Boogie Man is not a Potato Sack or some horribly disfigured demon."

"No, he's an incredibly sexy man with the most piercing eyes I've ever seen and a jawline that could kill," Y/N purred, tracing her finger along his jaw. Pitch nipped at it and she pulled it away. "Hey!"

"Hay is for my Night Mares," he said with a wink.

Y/N stuck out her tongue. "Ha ha you're a riot," she said sarcastically, although she was smiling. "I think I know what I want to watch." She scrolled until she found 'He's All That'.

"A romantic comedy?" Pitch cringed. "Please, darling, don't put me through this torture..."

"Too late!" She chirped, having already clicked 'play'.

Eighty-eight minutes later, when the movie ended, Pitch turned to Y/N, and his jaw dropped. "She rejected Prom Queen for him. Why would she do that? Prom Queen is every girl's dream! And I should know!" He huffed, eyes wide. "And their whole relationship was built on a lie! How could Cameron love Padgett after what she did to him? She was only with him for clout!"

Y/N was in tears she was laughing so hard. This had been throughout the whole movie- Pitch making comments about how stupid the characters were or how the plot didn't make sense because if he was being used by Padgett he would've made her life a living nightmare instead of forgiving her. "Honey, it's just a movie!"

"They're probably going to get married and then divorce a few years later," Pitch grumbled, crossing his arms.

Y/N shook her head and gazed at him. When he noticed, his gaze softened. "What?"

"Nothing. I just still can't believe we're together in real life," she said quietly, leaning onto his chest to feel his warmth. It was a nice change from him being so cold in the dream realm.

Pitch stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head, inhaling the faint fresh scent of her shampoo from the previous night. "Well get used to it," he cooed. "I'm not going anywhere. Except to torture the minds of children at night."

"Mmmm, okay," Y/N mumbled into his chest happily. After a moment she glanced up and crawled onto Pitch's lap.

He pulled her close and kissed her neck, making her groan. "Pitch it's too early, I'm still tired," she whined.

"It's not too early," he disagreed, his voice sending vibrations through her neck, making her breath hitch.

"Pitch, I'll tell you what, I can be your lunch," she compromised. "For right now, I just want you to hold me." She leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Pitch smiled and clutched her tighter. "Of course, my love. Although, I can't wait for lunch..."
