" don't kill me!" The man frantically shielded himself with his hands. You let out a harsh sigh and point at him with a stick
" spit it out, what are you here for?" You persisted
Collecting their breath, the man told you everything. " boss sent out new information for us, his desperate then ever..."
" so?" You rushed the conversation. Gulping, the figure adjusted his collar, " so. Here's the deadline for the mission. The deadline to kill Gojo that is". You snatched the note off the trembling man
You didn't show any reaction while reading the letter, hurriedly getting through its contents.
Looking at the due date, you couldn't help but scoff, " I'll get the mission done, so scurry along" you threatened, the man was wise enough to run away, not wasting another moment
You kick the sticks to make it look like no one was ever there, hearing slow footsteps approach you from behind.
" yo babe!", 'Speak of the devil' you thought. Before turning around you felt Gojo's arm snake around your waist
" did you find anything?" You remain still. " nope, I felt tired after searching for a while so I came back to you to recharge" Gojo had a cheery grin
You couldn't help but sniffle a laugh, " okay 'big' boy let's go back to the school."
| DAYS LATER
" the deadline will make sure Gojo doesn't interfere with our projects" you listened in to the phone call.
" I don't think anyone in that dreaded school understands out goals. We've tried so many times-"
" you've told me this so many times, get to the point" you teeth grit bitterly. " this is all for a good cause you know" the voice tried to reassure you
Your eyes held no remorse, they looked lifeless. " understood" was all you could mutter, hanging up the phone
You were cautious since you were alone, looking around to see if anyone heard. Upon walking out, you saw Yuta and Maki talking to each other
You muster a smile and walk over to them, making your emotions to seem genuine, real. You rub your neck after feeling slight fatigue, having been assisting in Maki's and Yuta's mission.
" thank you again" Yuta rubbed his neck, completely exhausted. " don't mention it" you guide the two outside
By now the veil had disappeared, showing the night had coated the sky. " that curse must've of manipulated the time" Maki huffed
