"What are they doing here?" Lexi whispers after Jordan removes their hand from her mouth.
"Does it look like I was expecting them? If you hadn't walked in I'd still be having sex with Tyler." Jordan tells her.
"Jordan?" Their mother knocks on the door again.
"It's go time, this is not a drill." Jordan tells her and the two leave the bathroom and split off to pick up different things.
Jordan takes the trash can, picking up all the illegal substances like the alcohol, bongs, and anything else their parents would deem inappropriate while Lexi takes the drawer off her desk and walks over to Jordan's, putting all the makeup into it before putting the drawer back into her desk.
Lexi knew the drill when it came to Jordan's parents. Any evidence of Jordan being a girl had to disappear. Neither of them liked it, but they put up with it for a few hours to avoid an even more turbulent relationship with their parents. "Jordan, we know you're there. Open up."
Jordan takes one last look around the room and once they are pleased the walk over to the door, taking a deep breath before shifting and opening the door. "Surprise." Their mom says at the door, hugging them. "Are you surprised?"
"'Surprised,' is definitely a word that I'd use." Jordan responds.
"We wanted to pay our respects to Brink tonight. We knew what he meant to you." Their mother says.
"He thought you were such an upstanding young man." Their father chimes in, making Lexi grimace, but Jordan hides their disappointment.
"Hungry?" Their mother asks. "Brought you some Vought-a- Burger. Deep's Calamari Poppers."
Jordan takes it with a forced smile as Jordan's parents make their way into the dorm room. "Lexi!" Jordan's mother exclaims. "Look at you dear, so beautiful." Jordan's mom hugs her.
"Thanks, Mrs. Li." Lexi blushes, releasing the hug.
"It's good to see you, Lexi." Jordan's father adds.
"It's good to see you too, Mr Li."
Jordan and their parents go over to Jordan's side of the room, while Lexi sits on her bed, and sketches a few drawings in one of her sketchbooks when she hears another knock on the door. "Who is that?" Jordan asks. "I thought your grandma wasn't supposed to be here for a few hours."
"Maybe it's Los?" She offers as an idea, while getting up to get the door.
"Los? Knocking." Jordan laughs.
Lexi just shrugs, opening the door to see a man with brown skin like hers and identical brown eyes. It only took a few seconds before she realized who he was, she couldn't say anything, only stand there.
"Lexi?" Jordan calls out to her. "Who is it?"
She still couldn't move, making Jordan stand up and face the door, still not aware of who stood in front of Lexi. "Alexia." He says to her. "I've finally found you, mija."
"Papi." She is finally able to get out in a small, shy, breath.
Jordan is quick to stand to her side, now realizing who was at the door. "May I come in." He asks, Jordan seems to hesitate but Lexi moves out of the way, indicating to them to do the same.
"I was very happy to see the video of you saving that girl on the internet, I knew that moment I looked into your eyes that you were my little girl." He tells her, but she is still shocked.
Lexi takes a step back, holding at her pocket that kept her phone to make sure it was there. When she was reassured that it was, she looked at Jordan who immediately knew what Lexi was wanting.
