Bai Wei woke up in a nice bedroom at Jiang Long's residence. He sighed as he relaxed on the comfortable bed that was much better than the previous bed in the hospital.
The bedroom was rather plain in decorations and consisted of few colors. The only thing that stood out in the room was a large window that took up one of the walls. Outside the window, one could see a small garden that consisted of many flowers and a wide expanse of trees beyond the garden.
Bai Wei looked out the window for a while and enjoyed the scenery until someone knocked on the door to the room. A person walked into the room and was surprised to see Bai Wei awake.
It was a young man who Bai Wei recognized as Shi Qiu, a man who serves as the assistant to Jiang Long later on in the plot. Bai Wei knew that he would later upgrade his position to assistant to Jiang Long after he took notice of his steadfast loyalty. 
 At this moment in time however, Shi Qiu should still be a small time cleaner working in the mansion part time. Bai Wei and Shi Qiu should have met later on but they currently have no recollection of each other.
Knowing this Bai Wei opened his mouth and greeted " Hello, Mr. Shi. How are you today?" 
The system watched the host's action and gave a silent huff but continued to remain silent. It had already gone through the seven stages of grief and had accepted its fate. 
The hardware that has been silent except for alerts came out and comforted the system. The system rubbed its head on the hardware's data-made  shoulder and continued to watch the situation from within the hardware's arms.
Outside the system space, Shi Qiu was very surprised to be recognized by Bai Wei. Shi Qiu's ears turned a slight pink at this address before he quickly corrected Bai Wei " I am just a cleaner here at the estate. There is no need for his highness's honored guest to address me so politely".
Shi Qiu seemed to have thought of something quickly and said " His highness is currently having dinner in the dining room. Would you like me to guide you there?"
"No need, I can walk there myself" Despite saying this Bai Wei had no idea where the dining room was so he asked the system to guide him.
As the system was now dormant the hardware instead guided Bai Wei down the right path.
[ Take a left here.... Now a right.. the dining room is through those doors on the left]
Okay, thank you. Bai Wei thought to the hardware before he took one last deep breath and pushed open the doors to the dining room.
The dining room had dark red walls with white trim and there was a very expensive table placed at the center of the room. Bai Wei observed the table for a second and thought back to his time as a star pirate. In the past he would have stolen this and pawned it off at a small planet without batting an eye. But he was no longer that Bai Wei.
Bai Wei's eyes flickered looking at the table for a moment before he looked up to greet the other person in the room. Jiang Long sat at the chair furthest from the door and had paused to look at Bai Wei when the door opened.

"Hello brother Jiang" Bai Wei said with a natural tone while smiling at Jiang Long. Bai Wei continued making eye contact as he walked a little quickly to Jiang Long's side and sat at the chair directly to the left of Jiang Long. Bai Wei even seemed to think that this distance was too long and scooted the chair closer to Jiang Long. 
Jiang Long found this interesting but said nothing and waved at one of the servants to set out a plate and utensils for Bai Wei before continuing to eat. 
The two ate in silence and it seemed that Bai Wei was no stranger to Jiang Long's presence despite this being the first time they had ever dined together. Bai Wei even occasionally took the initiative to feed food onto Jiang Long's plate now and then. 
Jiang Long watched silently at the man who he knew as his rival was silently placing his favorite foods into his dish in a subconscious manner. This was the first time that someone had taken care of himself to such an extent, even his own family had no idea what he liked to eat. 
[Ding! Target's favorability has raised 1 point and is now -17]
Suddenly the servants carried in a dessert that was peach cobbler. Seeing the dish Bai Wei's eyes lit up with a sort of recognition that Jiang Ling could not decipher. Jiang Long thought that Bai Wei must simply like the dessert and brushed it off. Jiang Long stretched out his arm in order to cut a slice to serve to Bai Wei as a type of pay back for his actions earlier when Bai Wei's hand suddenly reached out to stop him.
Jiang Long looked into the other's eyes in a silent question to his actions. Bai Wei understood his gaze and seemed to have a lot to say to himself but hesitated. He looked at the servants in the room in worry, contemplating what to say.
Jiang Long understood that he was afraid of saying something in front of the servants and waved them off. Bai Wei was relieved for a moment before he looked back into Jiang Long's eyes that were gazing back at him unmoving.
Bai Wei seemed to get inexplicably nervous again when Jiang Long finally couldn't stand the silence any longer.
"What is it?" He asked.
Bai Wei snapped out of his thoughts and quickly replied in a soft voice.
"Y-you're allergic to peaches"
Jiang Long's eyes widened in surprise.
