Someone whispered to the author that Rose Berbrooke and Luke Basset sneaked out the castle to meet up at the Three Broomsticks Inn for some private time. Some said that he was seen at the Jewelry Shop the other morning to buy a shining ring. Is it reasonable to think that a new Mrs Basset is on the horizon?

The Whispering Quill, L.V.

Aria entered the Great Hall for breakfast after she finished her running routine around the castle. She loved waking up before sunrise, when everyone was still asleep, to go for a run or a walk, it was a healthy habit of her and for Elodie it was a quiet and peaceful moment for just herself.

As she sat at the Slytherin table, she noticed that everyone had the new famous newspaper in their hands.
It was almost two weeks since the mysterious author was writing gossips about Hogwarts and its students, and people were always excited to read the latest new, even if the curiosity to know the mysterious author was even bigger.

"Did you hear the latest gossip about that Ravenclaw girl?"
From the Gryffindor table, Ginny was reading the news next to her brothers and friends
"No, what's the scoop?" Asked Ron eating his toast happily
Hermione rolled her eyes, she didn't like the news or the author, maybe because in a previous article she was defined as a 'smart witch that still have to learn how to brush her hair'.

"Apparently, she's been spending a lot of time with a Hufflepuff boy"
"No way! That's unexpected. I wonder what they're up to"
"But Luke was dating Emily! Did he cheat on her?!"
"Some say they've been studying together at the broomstick inn, but others think it's more than that"
"Well, you know how gossip can exaggerate things. We shouldn't jump to conclusions" Said Hermione pretending to be disinterested.

Fred took the article from her sister's hand and laughed.
"I kinda like her" Said the red haired boy as all his friends turned around to look at him, a mix of confusion and shock on their faces.
"Do you think the author is a girl?" Asked George.
Apparently, some people thought the author was a boy, others that was a girl. Some even thought that Dumbledore or another teacher was the mysterious author, and the previous week George suspected of Argus Filch. That made everyone laugh.

"Of course, George. I talk for all the boys in the wizardry world when I say that we aren't that smart. All the articles are well written"
Hermione rolled her eyes, of course she didn't agree.
Fred giggled at her reaction and decided to annoy her.
"Maybe it's you Herm, you are the author! You just wrote that bad article about yourself so no one suspected about you" Said Fred smirking.
Ginny gasped, not expecting that.
"Really? Or maybe you are the author and are just trying to praise yourself and mislead us" Replied Hermione proud of her clever response.
George laughed at Hermione's theory.
"Trust me, Fred isn't that smart"
Fred just nodded, not even a bit hurt by his words.
"Yeah, my twin is right. The mysterious author is definitely someone smart and perceptive. Her cold and sharp words invites readers to embrace the intellectual challenges that lay within the walls of Hogwarts, urging them to see their teachers, students and other stuff in a new light"
Everyone blinked looking at Fred. He never said such a complex thing.
"Did you hear yourself? It looks like you fell in love with the mysterious author"
"Oh please, but certainly she will be able to keep up with me, and you know that I'm always up for a good challenge"
No one believed that, for them Fred was just a prankster, not an intellectual.

As the breakfast ended, some students headed out the Great Hall to go to class.
"Oh, hey there, Aria. Did you hear the gossip?" Asked Pansy excitedly.
"I have a knack for catching whispers in the wind. It's fascinating to see how rumors spread"
"Personally, I could never date a Hufflepuff, they are just so... Ugh..."
Aria raised an eyebrow to her friend. For Pansy, you shouldn't date someone outside your same Hogwarts house, it was like mixing races and not creating pure heirs.
"What do you think of this Ravenclaw-Hufflepuff alliance?"
"Ah, perhaps they're just friends, or maybe there's something more personal at play. Or maybe they went beyond their house differences and fell in love. Indeed, the truth has a way of revealing itself in due time. Until then, let the rumors swirl"
"You always have a way of looking at things from a different angle, Aria"
"Observation and analysis are essential skills in our world, my friend. It's how we navigate the intricate web of Hogwarts society"

And with that, another day at school passed by, but little did they know that Umbridge was tired of the articles and of students behavior. She was ready to change things at school.
