"Cosette!" I mutter, peering out towards the guests, noticing my mother, "Why is she here!"

"She meant what she said, I told her to come-"

"But-"

"Wait, when you left her standing at the door, tears fell from her eyes and she really seemed upset you hadn't let her back into your life, so I told her to come to the ceremony. She isn't staying for the party though, don't worry,"

The party was being held at Marius' family home, which I'd only ever been to once; when we were told that we could use it,

"Is papa here?"

"No, she promised he wouldn't know or come,"

"Good," A weight is lifted off my shoulders as I hear this, I can handle my mother, but not my father. I would be happy to never see him again in my life,

"Are you ready?"

I nod, noticing the nerves in my stomach a lot more now the music has started and Cosette has started walking down the isle.

Having no father that is worthy of the title, and no idea and intention of my mother being here, Cosette's father has agreed to walk me down the isle to Enjolras, which we only discussed, no more than a week ago.

"Let's go Eponine," He smiles warmly at me and a wave of jealousy over Cosette overwhelms me. She got pulled from her terrible childhood in my family's inn, to someone that cared for her and looked after her, where as I was stuck there, my parents oblivious to me after a certain time.

"Ready,"

He steps forward, tugging on my arm lightly, pulling me forward. With every step, the nerves grow and the music gets louder.

As soon as I turn around the bend and face down the isle, it's like my vision has turned to tunnel vision and the only person I can see in the whole room, is Enjolras.

Everyone stands as I make my way down the isle, and I clutch onto Monsieur Lumiere's arm tighter.

Enjolras' eyes twinkle with tears as he watches me walk towards him, and I can already feel the tears brimming in my eyes, which I blink back straight away,

My hands transfer into Enjolras' and the warmth of his hands instantly calm me down, "You look beautiful," He murmurs into my ear, and it takes all of my self restraint not to kiss him.

"I missed you," I chuckle,

"I missed you too,"

"Please be seated," The chaplain smiles to our guests and my eyes can't leave Enjolras.

I'm finally getting married. Finally.

"So we all know why we're here today," He starts, but I tune him out completely, all of my focus on Enjolras, only until I have to pay attention and start speaking.

And after an eternity of waiting, he finally starts to close up the ceremony, "Do you, Eponine, take Enjolras to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do," I choke, the tears finally starting to drip down my cheeks,

"Do you, Enjolras, take Eponine to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," He smiles warmly at me and the only thing I want to do is hug him and hold him close,

"Well, by the power invested in me by the holy church, I now pronounce you husband and wife," He smiles and just as he stops speaking, Enjolras lifts me up and swings me around, crushing his lips to mine when my feet touch the ground as our guests applaud,

He rests his forehead on mine and lets out an exasperated breath, "I love you,"

"I love you too," I smile and press my lips to his again, sending a feeling of love throughout my entire body.

I pull away and face the crowd, linking my fingers between his, lifting our hands in the air and scanning my eyes around the room, taking in every one of our guests, a huge grin on everyone's face including my own, until I get to my mother.

Her face stained with tears and a proud smile on her face as she claps for us. I smile kindly at her as nothing could dampen my mood at the moment.

"Ready to go?" He smiles down at me, his grin wider then ever before,

"Hmm," I nod and peck him on the cheek quickly before walking down the isle and out the doors of the church, hearing the bells ringing throughout the area, signalling that I just got married to my love.
