Paige complained as they passed Nicholas, who was settling in. Coincidentally, his locker was right next to Jimmy's which brought him a sense of relief to know that he was by someone he sort of knew.
Nicholas has one word for Degrassi and it's not a good one. It wasn't the awful stench or the dirty floors and bathrooms. If anything it was the people. He's not used to being the new kid, the odd one out.
He and his sister practically ran his old school and he confidently assumed it would be the same here. All it takes is a little bit of time before things start to feel normal again.
"Earth to Nicholas..." Jimmy slowly said breaking the blonde boy out of his thoughts.
