A few days had passed after the divorce, things have calmed down, Yibo was doing much better, Zhan had asked him to work from home if he did not wish to go to the company.
Yibo was thankful for the offer and he accepted it, because he wasn't ready to face Tina and Zhan realized that it was unfair for Yibo to change his everyday schedule just because of that bitch. Yibo wasn't even at fault and yet he had to stay away from the office when it was supposed to be Tina. Zhan suddenly felt worse, he regretted making a decision so hastily.
However, at that time he just did what he thought was right.
He sighed as he got to work.
Meanwhile Tina was at her work when she got a call from her father, he had asked her to meet to have dinner. She agreed, she was curious to know what her father had to say to her.
"Hello dad." Tina said as she came to sit with her parents, they seemed happy to see her so Tina thought that there must be something good that her parents might want to tell her.
"Welcome Tina we were waiting for you." Her mother said.
"So what is it that you guys wanted to talk about?" Tina asked.
Her parents looked at each other and smiled before her father said, "Well we are thinking of retiring now, and we think that we should handover the company to your brother now."
Tina choked on her drink and looked at her parents with surprise, "What? What about me? What are you giving me?" Her mother responded, "Tina, you do not have a husband or children, you are a free bird at this point you also have a high paying job, you do not need anything from us anway... let your brother have everything, he is married, and his wife is also pregnant. Tina we hope that you will understand."
"No, I do not!" Tina yelled at the top of her lungs, "How can the the two of you do this to me! You guys have always favoured him over me and have given him the best, while I am ignored! How can you all be this cruel!"
Her dad said. "Well you got divorced, you got the apartment I am sure you received some alimony or money from your ex-husband!"
"No, I got nothing! Mom, dad I need you right now!" she said and her mother got angry and said, "then it's your fault for not fighting for the alimony! What can we do, we can't compromise our son and grandchildren's future, Tina you can do anything you want, you are not tied by family! Your brother is! Let him have the company and everything else."
"You guys are so selfish!" she said, "I am not going anywhere!"
Her father said, "then we are going to disown you!"
Tina's eyes widened when she heard that, "what? I am your child too then why would you do that to me! It's because of that bitch, right?! That Bella, brother's wife! She does not like me and she must have brainwashed you all against me!"
Her mother spoke, "you shouldn't have divorced your husband, you should have tied him down with children! Or at least fought for maintenance! It's your fault Tina! You screwed up yourself why are you blaming your brother?!"
Tina was so angry at these people that she got up and left, once she came out she took out her phone and sent a lot of messages to her brother and also her sister-in-law she said a lot of bad things to them and called them names and even wished death upon them and that their family be destroyed, she then got to her car and yelled at the top of her lungs as she sat on the driver's seat. She was so angry that she wanted to kill her family.

Meanwhile Martha sighed as she held her head in her hands, things were not going well, her business was not going the way she had wanted.
The clients were pulling back and the deals were failing, the stocks were falling and it was getting hard for her to get back.
This is not how she had thought she would retire; she was getting really agitated and annoyed.  
She called her secretary and asked, "has Steve submitted any files? Any report?" Her secretary just shook her head and that made Martha really made, Steve was not putting any effort towards the company and was not taking things seriously at all.
She knew this before that he would often skip work and never do his work on his own but she always let it slide because back then Yibo was there to take care of the things but now that was not the case, she said, "reach out to him and tell him to get back here!"
Her secretary nodded and left, Martha banged her hand on the table, since she had married her husband, she had tried her best to make Steve happy and become his favourite that way she could win her husband's favour and love, she gave everything to Steve, even a chance to work at her company without any exam or interview, and it was obvious that Steve couldn't give a shit about this company.
Every work that Martha assigned to Steve, he didn't complete it on time and now she was getting annoyed as things were getting out of hand.
Her secretary came back after a while and said, "ma'am your son is not answering his call so I called his driver and he informed me that Mr. Steve is attending his friend's party."
Martha was furious she was so angry that she was done, "Fine, then tell him to stay the party cancel all his credit cards and give him a letter that states that he is fired, let him party, all he wants."
"Yes ma'am."
Once her secretary was gone Martha sat down on the chair and sighed, she suddenly missed Yibo, he always completed the work on time and submitted all the files on time and she knew that it was Yibo who was doing Steve's work and yet she never interjected or asked Steve to stop neither did she pay him extra, she wished that Yibo was here to help her with work.
