“You gonna get it into my eye brows.” Avery groaned as Taylor was sitting in her lap while the blonde dyed her girlfriend's hair for the first time.
“I will if you keep moving.” Taylor said as she apply the bleach on Avery's head carefully, trying not to get it on anywhere else other the brunette's hair.
“Do be clear, i didn't agree with this.” Avery said in her defence.
“Oh, please- you could've just pushed me away from you right now if you didn't really want to, dumbass.” Taylor said sarcastically as she stroked the brush last time through Avery's hair before putting the brush and plastic bowl down on the side.
“Well it's not like I can because you wouldn't let me.” The actress shot back as she stayed in her place while Taylor went to grab something to cover up Avery's hair for an hour before washing it off completely.
“You have a point, but still. Plus I think you will look good.” Taylor said as she covered up the younger woman’s hair before Avery finally could get up and sit on the couch.
“How long will this take?” Avery said impatiently as she tried not to immediately get rid of the thing in her hair and wash it off completely.
“It's not a long wait, don't act like a brat, Bexley.” Taylor said, chuckling at how cute Avery was being right now as she sat next to her with Robin and Olivia in hand while Meredith climbed up Avery's lap.
“Is this what you did when you bleached your hair when we met?” The brunette asked, looking curious over her.
“Yes, and I'm never bleaching my hair like that ever again. I'm glad my natural hair is coming back.” Taylor said, sighing.
“But you looked so hot with it.” Avery said grinning.
“Oh I know, you told me about it when we met.” Taylor said, smirking right back at Avery who was confused as she didn't recall that.
“I did?”
“You did. You said I looked hot with my hair bleached. You were drunk as hell.” Taylor said with a teasing tone.
Avery was confused, she tried to remember the night at the Met Gala but she could recall was Taylor inviting the three of them to their table before her mind went blurry.
“Well I wasn't lying back then, and I'm totally not lying right now.” Avery said, grinning back right at her.
“Yeah okay.” Taylor just rolled her eyes with a hint of blush in her cheeks.
They waited an hour while they sat around with the cats before taking the dye off Avery's hair as they washed it off in the bathroom sink.
“If it's bad I'm gonna shave all my hair off.” Avery said while the water ran through her hair as Taylor was helping her wash it off.
“Don't be dramatic. I'm not even done washing it.” Taylor chuckled.
It took them a few minutes for Avery and Taylor to wash it off completely and using shampoo for the now blonde younger woman. Although her eyebrows are still brunette, luckily.
“Oh my god.” That was Taylor's first reaction after seeing her girlfriend blonde for the first time as she laughs.
“I don't even know what to say.” Avery spoke as her reaction was rather neutral. She didn't hate it, well that much. Bonus points because Taylor did it.
“I could get used to this.” Taylor said with a big smirk on her face.
“You're lucky you don't have a razor in your house.” Avery sighs in defeat.
“Yeah yeah. I'm gonna tell Spencer to pack his things and I'm gonna go pack our bags.” Taylor says before kissing Avery on the cheek. Leaving a small lipstick stain on it.
Avery smiled and took a good look at herself before coming back to the singer's bedroom where she found her packing their things for Thanksgiving. She sat on the edge of the bed while Taylor was sitting on the floor and folding her own clothes and placing it on the suitcase.
“Are you sure it's okay if I come? I mean it's a family occasion.” Avery asked softly. Having second thoughts if it was okay for her to tag along with her.
“Yeah, you don't have to worry. Mom said it was okay and I'm sure Austin and Dad wouldn't mind you being there.” Taylor said with a reassuring smile.
Avery nods before sitting down next to Taylor to help her pack things up for them.
“What about… you come with me on Christmas? Since we're moving to London, right? Only if you don’t have any plans.” The actress asked Taylor without looking at her as she waited for Taylor's answer.
She was silent for a bit as a smile crept into her lips with a blush.
“Are you being serious?” Taylor asked.
“Mhm…Pierre can't come with me so I'll take you instead. I'll introduce you to them.” She says sweetly.
“You'd do that for me?” Taylor was speechless as she was blushing like crazy.
“Of course I would. If it's fine of course.” Avery said with a smile before Taylor just gave in and kissed the younger woman on the lips while she smiled.
It lasted for about a few seconds before they both pulled away but Taylor pulled Avery for a hug.
“Thank you! And of course it's fine if you do.” Taylor said in excitement, hugging her tightly while Avery laughed at her girlfriend's gesture.
“You're welcome.” She says sweetly to Taylor.
Taylor eventually pulled away and they continued to pack their things for their flight tomorrow from New York to Nashville. Taylor was excited for the both of them. Excited enough for her to be the last one to fall asleep between them 3 in the house later that night.
But before that, they played a few games of scrabble while sitting on the floor with the cats surrounding them as Spencer gave up after 3 games.
“Syzygy isn't even a real word! How do you even pronounce that?” Taylor argued, pouting.
“It is! It means an alignment of three celestial bodies in a system.” Avery said, chuckling.
“No it's not!” Taylor fought while Avery just found it cute how the blonde's reacting right now.
“Yes it is! When did you get so competitive?” She asked Taylor, chuckling.
“Since forever when it comes to my game.” Taylor said confidently.
Avery could only laugh at a response while Taylor tried a few different combinations to form a word as Avery was just gawking at her.
“I can't focus if you're staring at me.” Taylor says as she moves the pieces of letters around.
“I’m not staring.” Avery looked away quickly as Taylor rolled her eyes playfully.
"Liar."
They played maybe 3 more rounds again before putting the scrabble board aside for the next intense scrabble battle for Taylor to take revenge as she had found a good competitor and it was, of course, her own girlfriend.
