Lilith's pov

Amaris was moved to my father's house last night. Kaylen and my father were not that happy when I showed up with the restricted angel. I had to listen to Kadence all night ranting about how I should have just talked with Amaris instead of taking her against her will.

"How was the prisoner last night?" I asked my father and stepmom. Kaylen gave me a look while my father shook his head.

"Usually people put up a fight when kidnapped. What did you offer that innocent soul to make her act like she wasn't trapped?" Kaylen asked. I raise an eyebrow.

"I didn't offer her anything. The angel is tired of being Adimus' bitch and wants out. Doesn't want to do her job that consists of the same thing. But how cool would that have been . Offering an angel a deal and she accepted. Adimus would hate me for that," I mutter. My eyebrows furrowed.

"Don't piss off Adimus anymore than you already have," my father warned.

"I already pissed him off?" I asked. My father took a deep breath.

"You think he doesn't know that you have one of his angel's." I guess my father has a point. It was God we are talking about. I grab an apple out of the fruit bowl.

"Right well I'll be pissing god off now," I say before heading to the room Amaris was in. The angel was sitting on the bed with her back to me. I could see her reflection in the window. She was watching the birds flying through the trees.

"We never have to wonder what it's like to fly," Amaris says.

"Do people really wonder that?" I questioned. Amaris turned to me with a nod. She no longer had the ropes tied to her. She must have removed them last night. And she still decided to remain where she was.

"I can read minds. The only minds I can't read are demon minds. Adimus doesn't want you guys corrupting any more of us," Amaris states. My eyebrows raised

"Is it really that easy to turn angels? A simple peek into our minds and your innocent soul turns dark?" I chuckle.

"No, just the ones who are curious. Just like anyone else we have a chance of going down the wrong path. Sometimes curiosity wins," Amaris says. She looks back out the window.

"What would you say if I said you had the option to not go back? That you could stay here."

"I don't want to be a fallen angel," Amaris says.

"Nobody says you have to fall...yet," I smirk. I doubt walking away from Adimus would let her stay as an angel. "How about a deal?"

Amaris took a deep breath before looking at me. She studied me. I offer her a smile. She narrowed her eyes on me.

"Name you game," she mutters. I chuckle before offering the apple to her. She raised her hand to grab the apple. Once her hand wrapped around the apple I let it go with a smirk.

"Choose your mate or go back. If you stay I'll deal with Adimus. You won't have to worry about him. If you go back. Then I get your wings. You won't be able to return and everyone will know you made a deal with a demon," I state. Amaris' heart was beating rapidly.

"No," she says. I chuckle darkly with a smirk. I glance at the apple.

"You took the apple," I state. Amaris looked at the apple. She tried to toss it to the side but it remained in her hands. It was a trick I learned from Akiran. The person is bound to an item offered when a deal is being presented. If they refuse to choose then the item will remain in their hand. Eventually their soul would be sucked into the item.

"What is this?"

"A very intense decision you now have to make. If you refuse then the apple gets your soul which then goes back to me. I've never had a soul let alone an angel soul in my collection," I muttered.

"How do you even know who my mate is before me?" Amaris asked.

"I have a gift of knowledge. I know who you are mated to and if you take this chance then you can be free and do what you choose, not what Adimus needs from you." Amaris thought about everything. She looks at me. Determination written across her face.

"I choose my mate and to be free," she says. The apple fell from her hand.

"No going back now," I mutter before turning to leave. Amaris jumped up and rushed after me. Kaylen and my father look at me.

"Bye dad, Bye mamma," I say. Shock flashes across Kaylen's face. A smile graced her lips. My father kissed the side of Kaylen's head with a chuckle.

"You better not cause any trouble. Akiran will hate it if he has to get you out of trouble but he will do it," My father warned. I nod my head.

"See you later, Lilith," Kaylen says while wrapping her arms around me. I pat her back before stepping back. Amaris and I leave the house.

As we walk through the town Amaris stares at me confused. I get slight bows by vampires as I walk.

"They're vampires," Amaris says.

"Way to state the obvious," I muttered. Amaris points to me then them. Her eyebrows furrowed.

"Why are they bowing?"

"I'm the queen. I am half vampire," I state while motioning to the castle. Amaris looked up at the looming castle. "Your mate is right in there."

"It's that easy?" she says. I chuckle while stepping towards the castle.

"Considering your mate is my cousin. It is that easy. I won't be the reason my cousin lives without his second chance mate. No go to him," I say. The door opens and Kadence walks out. I wrap my arms around her and pull her into me. Amaris walks into the house.

"How are you my love?" I asked. Kadence smiles while leaning into me.

"Hungry. Let's make a pizza," Kadence says while pulling me inside. She already had everything laid out for us. My ears were listening to Talon and Amaris. It seems Talon is open to the idea of a second chance at love.

Both of my cousins deserve their second chance mates. They are the nicest vampires I know. They are good people.

"Lilith, I've been calling you for a few minutes now. You'd think being a vampire your hearing would be magnificent," Kadence says. I turn to my beloved with a raised eyebrow.

"You're lucky I love your undead ass," Kadence grumbled. She points to the jar of banana peppers. "Open them for me."

I twist the lid. It pops as I take the lid off. Kadence grabbed it and stuck a fork in before pulling a few peppers out. She pops one in her mouth as she scatters a few across the pizza.

"You're staring again."

"I'm glad I met you, my love. I'm happy with how my life has turned around. Most of it is because of you," I state. Kadence smiles at me before pecking my lips.

"I love you, Lilith."

"You are my greatest trophy. I love you, Kadence."
