sadly this isn't the fun aftermath show hosted by bridgette and geoff (gidgette), but rather about the contestants who survived the island and their life after iots
i did not read any information about what did happen by the creator (not sure if they did post about it but if they did please lmk!) and this is what i think would happen :)
buckle up and get ready for some angst

One year and fifty four days since the incident.

One year and fifty four days since the survivors left the island.

One year and fifty four days since the murderer last killed and was not caught.

Gwen put her pen against the paper and scribbled furiously. All these contestants didn't deserve to die on that island. They just signed up for a harmless show and ended up with missed opportunities in a life they didn't even fully live. They were sixteen. All of them, only sixteen.

Ever since getting off that wretched island every day her inbox was bombed with questions, theories from different strangers who had chosen to get involved in the discussion of the century: Who killed all these teenagers?

She didn't completely lose contact with the contestants that survived. Leshawna and her still caught up. Cody seemed to be incognito and nobody could reach him. Duncan went to the same therapy clinic as her and they saw each other often, smiling with the ghost of what was once there, and then look away.

In a way, they reminded each other of those who weren't with them anymore.

At first Gwen tried to move on. But every night her dreams were plagued with the island, thoughts that she should've died to spare Trent, Courtney, that anyone but her should've survived.

She bumped into Katie last week. They acknowledged each other with a weak smile and then walked on with their own tasks. Every time any of them go out there are questions asked from strangers. The unsolved case followed them everywhere.

Katie was in a dark dark purple shirt. In all the photos Gwen ever saw of her now, she never wore pink or stripes anymore. Her hair was always let down in a long mess or it was in a low ponytail. Never in pigtails.

Eva and Izzy lived together and Izzy was under the illusion that everyone was alive, that they were on the yacht coming back to see them. Every few days she would snap out of that fantasy and disappointment would flood her. Eva worked out excessively as a coping mechanism, and on top of that lost so much weight. Every day she would come home to Izzy watching the TV somberly. Eva loved Izzy, Gwen knew. But they were both lost causes now.

These days Gwen didn't eat much. She couldn't bring herself to go to work every day, instead she counted the days that it had been since she'd escaped the island alive.

Those who weren't with them were gone, those who were still alive weren't there anymore. The part of their soul that was once there had been cut out with a sharp knife and it's lost. Lost on that island.

And the souls who were left on that island could never leave.

Heather would never reach Heaven because her head wasn't sewn back on afterwards. Where was her rotting head? No matter how much Noah wanted to see Cody he wasn't allowed to. The barriers between the living and the dead were too strong. DJ's rotting corpse was never found again. He died with his animals surrounding him.

Every time Gwen thought of DJ's Mama she felt like being sick. She thought he'd won the million. But her son's body was the one who was never found. Nowadays she sat at home making cookies and food for a son who would never come and reading news articles alone.
