If someone ever asks me why I would prefer to live in Kaliyug, it's because we won't take an infinite amount of time to travel from the city to it's outskirts....

Eramnesia... They say it's what you feel when you hope to be born in another era.

To say my wish came true would be an understatement, but moving for three days by a chariot is simply painful.

" How much longer! " I cried out, sitting in my rath with Yudhishthir.

"Priye, you've asked for the fifth time in 15 minutes.. My answer remains the same. 2 more hours. " He sighed, pulling me into a hug.

" I swear. The one invention we need. A car. "

" Why don't you do it? I'm sure people will benefit. " He said, chuckling.

"Haan haan. Mechanic bante ghoomon mein yahan. Mechanics hi padhni hoti to mechanical engineering na padti college mein.. Wo bhi karne ko nahi mila. " ( Of course. That's all i should do right? Become a mechanic. If I wanted to do that, I would have taken mechanical engineering in college. Now I can't even do that. )

That made me realise what a life I was living here. I'd become akin to a politician than a chemical nerd. It made me sad. All the dreams I had seen for myself, studying, going to college, doing things that I couldn't't even imagine in the labs. All that was lost here.

"What happened? You look sad. " I heard.

"What? No no. I'm not sad. " I said, smiling.

"How many times I must tell you not to lie to me? "

The thing is, in this respect I must lie to you. You don't understand. If I tell you why, then you'll feel sad, thinking you bringing me here shattered my dreams. When it's not your fault. I chose to come here. But I didn't pay attention to the consequences.

" I'm not lying. Truly, the only reason I'm sad is at the speed with which we are moving. " I whined. Got to act huh?

"Alright. But please tell me if something is wrong. Alright? " He said,a warm smile adorned his face.

"Yes, alright. "

These had been the longest two hours of my life and no one was more grateful than me to finally get down from that cursed chariot.

But as we did get down, we were greeted by a family.

"Pranipat Yuvraj, Yuvrani. Raajmata, Kumar. " He greeted.

"Who's he Arya? "

" I am Purochan Yuvrani, I am the one who has had the immense honour to construct this home for you. " He smiled.

He gave me the creeps.

"Al-alright. I'm grateful for your hardwork. " I added, moving to stand next to mata.

" Shall we kumar? "

We entered the palace, as he called it. It had been illuminated by a series of reflections, each placed at the perfect angles to allow the light of the moon to be reflected at the exact angles to allow maximum- I think you get my point.

" This is an engineering masterpiece Purochan. " Nakul muttered, while Sahdev, and I hung back.

" Sahdev... Don't you think this place smells unusual. " I asked, closing my nose. I never liked the smell of ghee. When ma used to boil of the malai in the fridge to get the ghee, I used to stay clear of the kitchen, even if I felt like I would die out of hunger.
