san walked along with the group, his gaze fixated on wooyoung. after the game had ended, jongho suggested they all go to a cafe to grab some food. wooyoung walked silently next to yeosang. san was surprised at how fast yeosang had gotten along with his friends, he was chatting with them like he's known them forever.
speaking of yeosang, san has yet to figure out why yeosang's attitude towards him changed. he was so adamant about keeping san away from wooyoung, to see him act so differently honestly caught san off guard.
"i never knew you were friends with the chef" yunho muttered next to him. right. san should of probably thought things through better. he knew that seonghwa and especially yunho would be skeptical when he introduced wooyoung to them. as far as they're concerned, they're san's only friends so they would have known if san made a new friend.
"we just got along" san replied, shrugging it off like it was no big deal. but wooyoung wasn't a friend to san. how could he be? he literally made san feel insane. it's taking every ounce of san's self-control him to not hold wooyoung in his arms right now. to not kiss him. but he had to control himself because wooyoung wasn't at that point yet.
"that's weird" yunho scoffed, "he's the reason you nearly lost your job". san swung his head towards yunho, "what are you talking about?". yunho looked at him knowingly, "you know what i'm talking about. dropping the food in front of everyone and then running out instead of taking responsibility. i'm surprised you're cool with him".
san inhaled sharply, "he didn't do anything wrong, it was my fault so drop it" he said, increasing his speed to get away from yunho. san didn't like how wooyoung was made out to be the person at fault. it was just an accident and san was getting tired of it being brought up.
san hadn't realized it, but he was now walking in sync next to wooyoung. wooyoung's head was lowered and he seemed to be in his own world.
"hey, you" san nudged wooyoung gently, snapping wooyoung out of his trance. wooyoung glanced at san for a second before rolling his eyes and huffing. san chuckled, knowing wooyoung was still upset about the game.
"don't be like that" san said, inching closer to wooyoung so that their shoulders were touching, "it's just a game".
"you cheated" wooyoung grumbled and san had to clench his fists to stop himself from pulling wooyoung into a hug. if only wooyoung could see how endearing he was in san's eyes.
"okay, i'm sorry for cheating. will you forgive me?" san asked, batting his eyes at wooyoung. wooyoung let out a slight smile before returning back to his stoic demeaner, "they'll hear you" he murmured, referring to the guys around them.
san sighed wistfully. oh how he wished it was just him and wooyoung. then he wouldn't have to worry about anyone near them and he could just be with wooyoung.
"this is the one" jongho said as they all stopped in front of a cafe. they all walked in and sat down at a table, san was lucky enough to grab a seat next to wooyoung. wooyoung raised an eyebrow at him but didn't say anything.
as they put their orders in seonghwa glanced at wooyoung, "so, wooyoung, how did you become friends with san?". wooyoung paused for a moment before clearing his throat, "we spent a lot of time since we were working together and we just got along". seonghwa nodded, but didn't look convinced, "it's a little weird that he hasn't mentioned you". wooyoung frowned at that and san glared at seonghwa.
"you don't need to interrogate him" san interjected, "we're friends, so what?". san was frustrating at his own undoing. he knew his friends were nosy, it was expected that they'd have a lot of questions but san wished that for once that they'd mind their own business.
