Josie walks into her mother's office, "Josie," Caroline says. "Hey Mom," the dark haired siphon witch greets. "Did you talk to Lizzie," Caroline asks. "And Grace," Josie adds. "What is the witch camp," Josie asks. "It will just be extra credit and for the summer," Caroline says. "And you sent Grace and Lizzie," Josie asks. "Lizzie will give me the information on the camp without sugarcoating it," Caroline says. "And Grace would go with Lizzie whether you invited her or not," Josie finishes. "Exactly," Caroline says. "What is all of this," Josie asks. "Well, this is my theory about all the monster madness that we're dealing with here," Caroline says. "Which I should have had sooner, before your sister left town, because proving it requires a witch," Caroline mutters. "I can get Faith to help though," she whispers. "No. I can help. I'm back in the game," Josie says. Caroline looks at her daughter, "You're positive," Caroline asks. Josie nods, "Well...given who it involves, I'm not sure you'll want to hear it," Caroline says.
"The Necromancer," Kol says. "What," Elena asks. "That's who it involved," Kol says. "Caroline thinks that when the Necromancer died in the prison world he fell into the Malivore pit and came out the other side," Kol says.
In an old barn, MG watches Ethan begin to wake up. "How'd you sleep?" the vampire asks. "Like Old Batman after the Mutant Leader beat the crap out of him in Dark Knight Returns. Except it was some rando with a pool cue," Ethan mutters. "If it makes you feel any better, Batman's human, too," MG says. "Here's the thing. I shouldn't feel better. At least not this quickly. You want to tell me how that's possible? Because from what I remember, I should be just this side of dead," Ethan says. "I've got a lot to tell you. For starters, vampire blood heals people," MG says. "Thank God for that," Ethan whispers. "There's more. I am not the only vampire there is. Like, at all. There used to be over a dozen of us in my old class," MG says. "You remember Faith," MG asks. "She is a vampire and a witch," MG says. "And you all live at the school," Ethan asks. "It is the Salvatore School, right," Ethan asks. "It's now the Mikaelson Boarding School, but yes," MG says. "No wonder Dr. Saltzman wanted you to make me forget," Ethan says. "Told you it was a lot. But after what happened to you...I'm through lying," MG says. "We're partners. And you're about to know everything," MG says.
"He is not even in the first generation of vampires," Rebekah says. "Bekah," Kol says. "I'm just saying Kol, he is like ten," Rebekah says.
Faith walks into the office as the dark haired siphon sighs. "So, you think The Necromancer is behind all of this?" Josie asks. "Well, the monsters are back," Caroline says. "Not to mention, Hope, Landon and I saw his dead body in the prison world, which means he should have come back to life," Faith says. "So why didn't he?" Josie asks. "Unless he already did," Caroline says. "You think that he resurrected in our world?" Faith asks. "Well, that's the theory," Caroline says. "You know, Hope told me something or someone is running around Mystic Falls wearing the hides of dead monsters. Now, it's not exactly a crimson robe, but..." Josie says. "Once of us can do a locator spell if you have something that belongs to him," Faith says. Caroline opens a desk drawer and pulls out a grimoire. "I know you two have history, and this...grimoire of his is full of..." Caroline trails off. "Black magic spells," the two girls say in unison. "I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little scared of that. But...not of him," Josie says. "I got this, Mom," Josie says. Faith hands the dark haired girl a map. "Ahsorum, dolusantum, infidictus," Josie casts. Caroline, Faith and Josie watch the thin trail of blood move along the map until it stops and pools. "What is that?" Faith asks. "Where is he?" Josie adds. Caroline sighs, "A funeral home," the blonde headmistress says. Josie and Faith exchange a look, "How ironic," the two of them say in unison.
"He did not even try," Klaus mutters. "First he went to a cemetery," Kol says. "And then he did a brief stint at an ice cream parlor," Klaus says. "And now he works at a funeral home," Kol says. "Now which of those places sounds out of place," Klaus asks. "Well in the situation, the ice cream parlor sounds out of place," Kai says. "But in a normal human situation working in a cemetery and in a funeral home would prove to be problematic," Kai adds.
Faith walks into the kitchen to see her cousin making a sandwich. "And what are you doing," the pink haired Mikaelson says. Hope looks up, "Ummmm," Hope says. "You remember when your mom was planning that big party even though my father told her not to," Hope asks. "Yes," Faith says. "And my father walked into the room and asked her what she was doing and her response was no," Hope adds. Faith nods, Hope looks down at the sandwich and then back at her cousin. "No," Hope says. Faith's eyes widen, "Got it," Faith says. "What are you doing," Hope asks. "Josie, Caroline and I are heading to a funeral home to talk to the Necromancer," Faith says. "You think he fell in as he died," Hope says. Faith nods, "And because parts of his body were in the prison world, he would come back over here," Hope adds. "Exactly," Faith says. "Now, I'm going to ask you again," Faith says. "Please don't, I don't think I could explain it very well," Hope says. Faith shrugs, "All right then," Faith says. "Watch over Josie for me," Hope asks. "Of course," Faith says. "And bring Jen," Hope adds. "Not you too," Faith shouts over her shoulder.
Klaus and Rebekah exchange a look, "You know, I do not even want to know," Klaus says. "My mother's wedding anniversary," Faith says. "Why would I not want to celebrate that," Klaus asks. "Because the family was in the middle of a fight," Hope says. "The party was going to become a problem if it was planned," Grace says. "So she planned it anyway," Klaus asks. "Yep," the three girls say in unison.
In the funeral home, a man is playing piano as a woman mourns. As the song comes to an end, the woman claps. "You play beautifully," the woman says. The man turns to reveal himself as Ted, "And you are far too kind," Ted says. "Sorry I've kept you so long," the woman says. "Don't be. I'm at your service. You take all the time you need," Ted says. The woman stands and walks over to the casket, "He looks so peaceful. I'm ready now," the woman says. "Thank you for everything," the woman says. "It was my honor, Mrs. Vaspucci," Ted says. The woman chucles, "It's 'vas-pew-chi'," the woman corrects. "Italian," the woman says. "Ah. Ah, oh, an elegant language far beyond my grasp. You know, it suits the lady," Ted says. Both of them chuckle, "If there's nothing else, I'll walk you out," Ted offers. "Perhaps you'd like to join me for lunch. Robert would want me to be happy," the woman says. "Uh, grief is a strange beast, Mrs. Vaspucci..." Ted trails off. "It's 'miss' now. And call me Sophia," the woman adds. "Sophia. As I was saying, in my experience, the only thing that satiates that beast is time, and..." Ted says. Josie, Faith, Jen and Caroline walk into the building. "Oh, thank God," Ted says, realizing that someone was there. "I'm afraid the viewing's over," he adds. "That's okay. We came here to see you," Josie says. "You may look different..." Faith says. "Oh, God," Ted mutters. "But we'd recognize that voice anywhere," Josie and Faith say in unison. "We know who you really are," Jen says.
"I really hate this guy," Enzo says. "Yeah, he's not good," Grace says. "He's a little bit crazy, has a hideout in the cemetery and likes to surround himself with the dead," Grace adds. "Oh, like you," Elena asks. "I don't surround myself with the dead," Grace says. "But you like to kill people," Elena says. "People who made an enemy out of my family, sure," Grace says. "But that does not account for the hideout in the cemetery or the fact that you think I am crazy," Grace says. Kol clears his throat, "That is your hideout, not mine," Grace says.
