Season 5/Chapter 21: Not Dead After All

                                    

                                          
Y/N Pov. 
Standing in this new place, it's nice to see the world isn't as empty as we might have thought. Though, I will say it's a little bit nicer even more so that we know these guys aren't crazy or a bunch of assholes. 
Siddiq: How is she? 
I see Siddiq talk to a girl I've never met, standing by another guy I've never seen before by any means. 
Girl: She was unconscious when she got here, but she'll be fine. It's dehydration and heat exhaustion, mainly. She should wake up soon.
I look at Michonne. 
Y/n: Who's that girl Siddiq's talking to and the guy beside her? 
Michonne: That's Enid and Alden. 
Y/n: Cool. 
Michonne looks at the two. 
Michonne:  If she's been out the entire time, how do you know Eugene was with her? 
Tara: Aaron told us. 
Michonne: Aaron's here? 
Again, these guys keep talking about people I've never met or at least have no memory of and it's becoming a pain. Have I met Aaron? I can't remember. Actually, now that I hear the name I think he came with us to Richmond. He's the one armed guy, right? Man my memory is getting worse. They continue to speak and say a few other names, Daryl, Henry, Carol, Aaron again and Jesus. I look at Tara. 
Y/n: Um, ma'am, if you don't mind me asking... This Jesus guy, is it his nickname? 
Tara: Yeah, why? 
I pause, but I can still be wrong.
Y/n: Does he have long hair and say, "My name's Paul, but my friends call me Jesus."
They all look at me surprised and I pick up on it. 
Y/n: Yep. It's that one. I know this Jesus guy you're talking about, but it's been years since we met one another. I'm glad to hear he's still alive. 
The Enid girl looks at me. 
Enid: You know Jesus? 
Y/n: Well, I know Jesus as my lord and savior but I also know Paul whose nickname is also Jesus. So yes. Met him when Clem and I were about thirteen almost fourteen couple years ago and he'd helped us save a community alongside some others. Like I said, it's good to know the guy is still kicking.
Tara: Well it looks like the old gang's back together. 
Michonne asks where that group was headed but Alden said they wouldn't be able to catch up. He's probably right. Depending on how far they went out, it'd be a pain in the ass to come find them while stomping through the dark. They bring up this Daryl guy again and she says they'll be back soon probably. 
Tara: You can have your weapons back when you leave tomorrow. 
She looks at Magna's group. 
Tara: As for the rest of you, you're going to have to wait until Jesus gets back. And if you want to stay, stay, I'm gonna have to talk to him.  And you're gonna have to earn your keep. 
I pause once again. 
Y/n: Tomorrow? No, thanks. I'm leaving today. I've got to get back to Alexandria where some of my family is currently at. And now that these new guys are here, my job is done. 
The others look at me, especially Michonne. 
Y/n: I mean it, Michonne. Clem has been real antsy ever since I came back, real afraid of me being gone for longer than a few hours. As has AJ and the others. So I've gotta be back there as soon as possible or they'll probably freak.
