You arrive at the beach some half hour later, it would've been faster if you weren't saying hello to everyone you came across, or stopped talking about the history of every building, but it's fine since Taylor seemed to find it entertaining. The parking lot in front of the beach is quite empty, but there's still people in the souvenir stores.

As the two of you step your sandals onto the sand, the familiar scent of salt fills the air, and the sound of waves pleases your ears. Suddenly, you turn to the girl, beginning to ramble on nervously. You were quite the chatterbox when you got worked up, which could go either positively or not.

"Hold on- Taylor, were you planning on swimming? Wait- I asked you to go here. Do I want to swim? Um- anyways. I just realized neither of us have our swimsuits. We could buy some but- I'm so stupid how could I-"

Before you start spiraling more, Taylor cuts you off with a sweet laugh that you'd die to hear forever.

"Y/n- it's fine, really. Don't worry!" The blonde reassures you, patting your back awkwardly since she wasn't sure if the two of you were close enough to do that. You quite liked it though, and her hands were nice and gentle.

You look up at her, a bit relieved but also confused. "So, what are we going to do?"

"We're going to swim. Duh!" Taylor shakes her sandals off and begins to run towards shore, grabbing your hand and dragging you along.

"W-wait! Taylor!" You screech in a slight panic of not knowing what's happening next or what she's thinking. Quickly grabbing the back of your flippers with one hand and throwing them off randomly behind you, you try to keep up with Taylor.

The blonde surprisingly has quite some stamina, and she's laughing her head off while running. It's so contagious that you can't help but join in and chuckle with her. Taylor glanced back at you to check how you're doing, and she looked absolutely majestic.

The sun was shining in that particular way it does after noontime, but not quite setting into darkness. It was almost sunset, and the sky was filled with blues, along with various shades of purple and pink. It was like someone had taught their child to paint, but the paint spilled all over the paper in resemblance to a kaleidoscope of sorts, and projected it into the sky.

The golden rays beamed onto her hair, making it glimmer all the more. The wind flowed against you two, sending her hair dancing along the current, her smell surrounding the air around you. There were already few people when you got there, but now it seemed like the both of you were in a bubble. Only you and her. She was all you could see, and your stomach tingled with something you've never felt before. Taylor's got a smile that could light up this whole town, and it was pointed right at you. Nothing lasts forever, but you would capture this moment all too well in your mind. In fact, it would be engraved into your heart forevermore.

You felt as light as a feather, as the two of you skipped along, the warm sand comforting your feet every time you landed. Everything seemed to have more meaning now, your imagination was running wild. The sand were clouds, the dresses were parachutes, and Taylor was an angel. You were in heaven.

Before you know it, the cold water is splashing you everywhere, your dress turning darker and sticking closer to your body, as is Taylor's. The two of you are frolicking around the shoreline, kicking the air around and twirling in the breeze. The calm of the sea is disrupted with your squeals, and your movements causing ripples against the tide.

"See! I told you it would be fine!" Taylor calls out.

"Yeah, you were right!" You put your hands under the water and flip some water at her.

"Hey!" She does the same, bending down into the water and hitting some back at you. You wade through the water, further into the ocean as you attempt to get away from her.
