Short 4: The Solver Within

Start from the beginning

On a snowy day, which was pretty much every day, Flynt was seen walking in the streets towards the base, where he had his hands in the pockets of his coat.

While walking alone, he told Uzi he would like to be alone for the day, which she was concerned but respected his wishes.

Earlier, he received a call from Nick that he, Glitch, Clara, Soldier, Pathfinder, HAMMER, and Jenny went out to look for Viper and Team Combra.

While walking towards a hidden train tunnel that led towards the Lost Sanctuary, he was haunted by the thoughts of most of the Mercenaries' patrol drones that he saved earlier, the names he was called by him in the past or during the day by both drones and humans back on Harmony, and his training by Lloyd and Kai, but only frustrated the Conduit.

"Focus, Flynt."

"Freak."

"Fucking weirdo!"

"You're a loser!"

"We're seriously going to listen to a meat bag?"

"You call that focus?"

"Outcast."

"He's just a lost cause."

The voices stopped as soon as he arrived at the tunnel, which took the form of something creepy.

He looked at the print that said PLACE HERE IF NOT A ROBOT. Flynt pulled out his left glove and placed his hand on the handprint, which caused it to say U GOOD ;)

The doors began to open as Flynt made his wings appear and flew as he made the doors closed.

Arriving at the entrance, he saw 2 Mercenaries standing guard but looking low on power, which made Flynt say, "You 2 get some rest. I'll get the next shift for you."

The drones looked at each other then shrugged and left, leaving Flynt to follow them inside.

When Flynt got the next shift of guards and began to walk toward the main lobby where his office would be, Flynt opened the door to the room where the door to his office was, which was the hangout room for Flynt and co to hang out.

While entering, the Conduit noticed a movie was playing, which showed to be a film about robotic animals while a little girl hid inside a ball pit.

"You seriously expect that no one wouldn't see you in a ball pi-"

"BOOO!!!"

Violet's laughter echoed in the hangout room, a stark contrast to the tension that had momentarily seized the atmosphere. Her amusement at Flynt's startled reaction was palpable, filling the space with a sense of unease that was hard to shake off.

Flynt, still recovering from the initial shock, lowered his blade, his annoyance flickering across his face. "Violet! What the hell?" he exclaimed, the remnants of fear quickly giving way to irritation and then curiosity as he took in her drastically altered appearance.
