Edwin: "Dad, mom. See you around!! I am going to behave well and pray for your safety. "
Alice: "Good luck and take care, Yukihiro-san!!! I and Edwin are going to protect this home under our care."
A few days have passed since my parents were leaving home, with me and Alice currently taking care of it. Living without parents for the first time causes me to have mixed feelings inside my head. On one hand, I was feeling very lonely since my parents are not around to help me with my school as well as dueling, even if Alice is living together with me at this moment. On the other hand, I would like to express my gratefulness towards my parents for entrusting my sweet-and-sour childhood best friend Alice to have a sleepover with me while they were being preoccupied with their space expedition. To me, Alice is the closest person I have in my life, second to my parents.  
My friendship with Alice began ever since she moved next to my house around 8 years ago. As a childhood friend, my relationship with Alice is relatively friendly and supportive. However, she tends to be a little strict with me even when I made the tinniest of mistakes. One of which is during our practice duel this evening. During the match, I made her upset and received some harsh scolding because I did a little misplay and didn't treat the duel in serious manner.
My field contained a recently fusion summoned Cyber Twin Dragon. on the other hand, while Alice didn't control a single monster, she set 2 cards on her spell/trap zone during her first turn. Alice's board doesn't look very deadly to me. Perhaps I could finish her up on my battle phase through Cyber Twin Dragon's double attack.
Edwin: "Battle!! Go, Cyber Twin Dragon!!! Attack Alice directly!!! Evolution Twin Burst!!"
Cyber Twin Dragon/Level 8/LIGHT/Machine ATK/DEF: 2800/2100
Alice: "How reckless!!! I am activating my reverse card; Magic Cylinder!!! Cyber Twin Dragon's attack is negated, and you will take damage equals to its ATK point!!!
Edwin: "What?? This can't be happening!!!"  
Edwin's LP: 4000 -> 1200
Alice: "I am not done yet!! I am going to play my other trap card; Ring of Destruction!!!This card destroys your Cyber Twin Dragon and both of us take damage equals to its original attack, which is 2800!!!"
Edwin's LP: 1200 -> 0                               Alice's LP: 4000 -> 1200
The duel ended up going in Alice's favor. Maybe if I attempted to remove those set cards since the very beginning, this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Alice: "I won, Edwin. This duel is mine."
Edwin: "I thought that I almost had you for sure. I didn't expect that one of your backrow cards would be Magic Cylinder."
Alice:  "Edwin... I hate to say this, but you seem not to take this duel seriously. You are not even dueling against my personal deck either."
Edwin: "That isn't true at all. I enjoyed this duel wholeheartedly, especially when my opponent is you."
Alice: "You got to be kidding me. In that case, would you like to show me the cards you hold in your hands?"
I showed Alice all of the remaining cards I have in my hand. it contains Lightning Storm, Cyber Dragon Herz, and Cybernetic Overflow.
