(Author's Note: You know what? Spoilers ahead - When I saw Kieran be like, a bad guy, I was personally mad. I mean, come on, be better, and also, he's one of the main character's friends! We have expectations! Also, adjusted dialogue in all my chapters! Anyways, enjoy the chapter!)

After the student left, Carmine turned around and explained, "That's one of my classmates. She's an interesting one!" She then thought about it. "Hmm, speaking of classmates... It feels kinda weird seeing you here at my school. And look at you! You haven't changed at all since we last met! As for me, well, I've been helping Ms. Briar with her research. We've been to all sorts of different regions! It's made my Pokemon a lot stronger than they were the last time we battled! Ehehe, you wanna see? Oh, you totally wanna see. Well, we have a battle court right here, so... Get into position!" They got into position on either side of the court. When they were ready, Carmine said, "Okay, you ready for a Double Battle? You won't know what hit you!" They brought out their Pokemon. Carmine promised, "I'll give you a special treat since you came all this way! Get ready to eat Terarium dirt!" At some point in the battle, Akari Cobra used a super-effective move on both Carmine's Toucannon and Mightyena. Carmine said, "Hey, stop that! Why won't you use one of those not-very-effective moves sometimes?!" Both Pokemon fainted, so Carmine sent out Scrafty and Sinistcha to take their place. Carmine said, "That's it - I'm ready to go all out! Heh heh... Time for me to Tera it up!" Carmine proceeds to Terastrallize Sinistcha. A few seconds later, Carmine was defeated. She whispers, "That did NOT go the way I had planned..." She walked up to Akari Cobra, saying in frustration, "Agh! I got so much stronger once I could Terastrallize my Pokemon, but you just had to go and get even stronger, didn't you?! You still don't hold back in battles, huh? Another thing that hasn't changed a bit..." She suddenly became a bit calmer about her loss and asked, "Hey, by the way...have you, uh, run into Kiki yet?"

Akari Cobra replied, "No, I haven't."

Carmine said, "Oh, never mind... If you haven't seen him yet, it's fine."

A familiar voice yelled, "Are you kidding me?! What, was this assignment too hard for you too?"

It startled Akari and Carmine. Carmine started, "Wait, that's -" They ran over to the ledge, and spotted two students. One looked a lot like Kieran, but he looked angry. Carmine whispered, "I knew it! That's Kieran. Phew, he almost saw us..."

Akari asked, "Wait, that's Kieran?!" She couldn't believe it. Everything Kiui said about Kieran was true?!

Carmine whispered, "Shhh! Keep your voice down!"

Kieran growled. "I thought I told you to train five Pokemon to battle with."

"Enough, Kieran. The poor boy's doing his best, can't you see that?" Kiui snapped back, walking over.

"Why do you care? You're just a lonely freak." Kieran replied.

"At least I still have standards. You don't have any. All you expect is for people to worship you and honor your orders." Kiui snapped.

"Whatever, at least I don't sound or act like a cat Pokemon." Kieran rolled his eyes. Kiui's eyes twitched. She seemed to struggle to not react in a certain way, but she clearly looked like she hated him.

The student told Kieran, "S-sorry... Things have been really hectic at home this month..."

"Oh, got it." Kieran said. Kiui held up a gesture to let Akari Cobra know to wait for it. "So that means you're okay with being this weak forever? That what I'm hearing?"

The student shook his head, stammering, "N-no, I -"

Kieran nodded his head, saying coldly, "Well, since you're so busy, I'll go ahead and do you a favor. I'll write your letter of resignation from the club for you. I don't need people in my club who don't take it seriously." He turned away.
