~Kayla's POV~
I awoke the next morning with Chelsea, clinging to me. I sighed and got up, taking a shower and getting dressed in a pair of black leather pants and a black long-sleeved crop top.
"Well good morning to you too" I looked away from the mirror where I was trying to tame my messy hair to see a grumpy-looking Chelsea, the sheets bearly covering anything.
"Morning," I said returning to my hair. Once done I turned back to Chelsea "I'm heading out, shower, get dressed, disappear"
And with that, I left my room, had it not been for my annoying father I wouldn't have minded if Chelsea stayed.
"Morning," Lucas said from his spot on the couch, petting Tungi.
"Hey-" I heard a loud knock at my door. Cautiously I opened the door, revealing my father "Yes Father"
"Come" He hissed, briefly before turning away, and going down the stairs, his ponytail bouncing with each step. I sighed and followed. Soon we reached the coven borders, thanks to our super speed "Leave"
"What?" I responded in shock
"As I said before; no matter how hard I try to teach you that the outside is more dangerous than you think, you don't believe me, so I'll have to show you," he said "Six months, temporary banishment from the coven, if you are seen, hear, or smelt anywhere near the coven you will be treated as a stranger and a possible threat"
"Father, you can't be serious!" I yelled.
Father's expression was stern, unwavering. "I am dead serious, Kayla. This is not a punishment but a lesson in survival. You need to understand the dangers that lurk beyond our borders, the threats that exist outside of our safe haven. Consider this your rite of passage, a test of your skills and instincts."
I felt a mix of emotions swirling inside me - fear, anger, defiance. But deep down, a glimmer of excitement flickered to life. This was my chance to prove myself, to show my father and the rest of the coven that I was capable and strong.
As I stood at the edge of the familiar territory, looking out into the unknown expanse beyond, I took a deep breath and steeled myself for the journey ahead.

I had been walking around aimlessly, what was I supposed to do, Lucas wasn't here with me, and my new pet bunny along with my cat were back at home" I sighed, the loneliness kicking in. But I couldn't let my emotions get the best of me. I had to focus on surviving and learning everything I could during my banishment. The forest stretched out before me, thick with trees and shadows that seemed to whisper secrets in the wind.
I continued my journey into the unknown, each step a test of my courage and resilience. The sounds of nature surrounded me - the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, the distant howl of a wolf. I kept my senses sharp, knowing that dangers could be lurking around any corner.
As the sun shone high in the sky I felt wearied. Contrary to popular belief, us Vampires don't burn in sunlight, it weakens us, but we don't burn and we sure as hell don't sparkle.
The path ahead was becoming increasingly dense with foliage, and the canopy of trees blocked out most of the sunlight, casting a dim greenish hue over everything. I could sense the presence of other supernatural beings nearby - werewolves, perhaps, with their distinct musky scent lingering in the air.
Suddenly, a twig snapped behind me, causing me to whirl around in alarm. Before I could react, a figure emerged from the shadows - a tall, imposing man stood before me, his golden eyes shining with bloodlust. A werewolf, a rouge to be specific, evident in the slight scent of decay mixing with the usual werewolf musk.
